1. I wish mine would do that! Neither of them are particularly water friendly although Bella is getting better. He was even holding up his feet for a wash!
2. I dont agree they dont have time to spend with the birds in their normal hours of work, we have a pet warehouse, i rarely go in as they sell birds and kittens, on the few occasions ive gone in there is up to four staff sat round the till area talking.
3. Can i add another one? My friend recently bought a "much loved" and " will never sell him" bird as her son wanted a playstation and the only way she could afford one was if she sold the "much loved" member of the family!
4. Im assuming theyre african greys as thats a site they were posted on.
5. please please will you all keep your ears to the ground, im looking for two parrots that were stolen from my disabled fathers home in nelson, lancashire in the early hours of 24.10.09. they are approx 15 years of age, one named elvis the other pop. the smaller of the two was going through stress plucking and is quite bold in front.the biggest says get on that xxxxxxxx perch, just a few sayings for you to listen for, please email if you hear anything at all. my poor dad was on his way down the stairs in a stair lift to stop them!!! im disgusted. upset, angry but grateful too that he wasnt injured, any help is greatly appreciated, thankyou, tina cross posted
6. So sorry to hear this, i hope he comes home soon. My mates went missing a few weeks ago, i was up and down from 5 in the morning looking for him, he turned up 2 days later in a tree and after a few hours enticing him down he finally came for his mum, hes fine now.
7. Bella sits on my shoulder a lot as i need to keep her with me when i move round the house, she can find mischief in a split second of not being supervised, weve even perfected the art of changing my clothes without her falling or flying off, however i dont allow her on my head as she tends to bite when she climbs there. Bellino doesnt like shoulders though.
8. Bella does the same thing, she will sit on my hand licking between my fingers for hours sometimes, shes even worse when ive just come out of the bath!
9. Things look to be looking up for you so far. Thinking of you, Lola will be fine and will probably get a lot more attention than youre able to give her at the moment. You did the right thing by her.
10. He now only has one half decent tail feather, they were all bent inwards, he does have smaller ones that look to be growing but he did lose 3 at once the other day, hes not and never has been clipped but he is a daredevil and does lots of rough stunts that could damage his tail. His clutch brother is the same and has been to the vets to be told there is nothing wrong with him. I have been told that Bellinos not getting his proper nutrients, hes fed on tidy mix, fresh fruit and veg with nutrabalm sprinkled on top so will try a different diet for him.
11. It doesnt matter what protection you wear, they will always find a vulnerable bit to clean themseves/poo on!
12. Were all thinking of you tomorrow and praying that things will go your way.
13. Why do we not take heed of that? We just go along wishing our time away, even me and im an undertaker, both these young guys i have in at the moment and knew them both reasonably well yet i still smoke, drink and have a bad diet. Im 40 myself and consider myself to be immortal, im not, none of us are.
14. On friday i picked my gay drag queen bearer up and he told me his cousin has cancer and is receiving chemotherapy for it, he had hidden it from Ian but someone let it slip on Thursday night, Ian and him were close but Ian was going to ring him monday to see how he was doing, however Ian rang me today to tell me John had been taken into hospital this morning with only 2 hours to live, he died at half six tonight. I only saw him 4 weeks ago and he was full of life! Hes only in his fifties, i also have a funeral tomorrow for someone i know who was 42, he was in the pub til 12.30 am on sunday and dead of natural causes by 4.am. Cherish your life.
15. CONGRATULATIONS! Just be aware though that even if hes clipped he could be caught up in a gust of wind and carried away for some distance and theres a bigger chance of being caught by predators.
16. None of them are chewed, they just all seem to be bent half way down. The 3 i found were at the bottom of the cage together but they look as they theyre just moulted, they dont seem to have been tampered with in any way. They are all from Bellino and not Bella, she has a normal red tail with straight feathers not bent ones.
17. For some reason Bellino has lost his red tail, when he came here it was normal but its just disappeared? The three he had he lost last night, they dont look as though theyre plucked but he just has one half decent one left now and that is bent as were the others that hes lost, Ive been talking to Nicki tonight who has Bellinos biological brother from the same clutch (there was just the 2 of them) and she says Blue is the same, he lost his a while ago but now seems to be growing them again. Could this be genetic? Bella has always had a gorgeous tail. Post edited by: Dave007, at: 2009/10/18 01:02

Post edited by: Dave007, at: 2009/10/18 01:03
18. I registered a few weeks ago, parrots seem to go missing a lot. I do cross post lost and found birds on all the forums im on and there have been a couple of reunitings through the forums but its not enough really.
19. So sorry to read this. Sending you my best wishes.
20. Its nice when the owners let us know theyve found them, very few do so we never hear the outcome as most people only join the forums to let us know theyve lost their grey and then just disappear.
21. WELL DONE CEASAR. Plenty of mischief to be found now you fly! :woohoo: :woohoo:
