Hello, Just reporting that she is now safe and sound at home with us. She took a holiday in a house near a farm around 10 miles away. She seems very happy to be back, and we're happy she is back. Thanks for your assistance in circulating.

Shes doing her best but the bird in question is nothing to do with her it was just an email sent to her via someone else!

Poor Harvey and you, that must have been scary, glad everythings turned out ok in the end though. That could have been a very different story!

Ignore it or say something similar when he says it and it may gradually change to the words you say instead. I looked after a friends parrot for a few days a couple of months ago, he uses a certain word, i was so pleased when mine didnt pick it up until a month later when Bella suddenly came out with it and it became the favourite word for a while. She still calls it me when im not paying attention to her.

I get confused with these time differences. At the moment its 12.05 am on the 15th october here but according to my clock on the forum its nothing like that time! :laugh:

Thats the worst thing, my mothers heard it all before so many times that she would know what Bellas doing, theres no way i could pass it off as something else. :dry:

Bless her, a nice polite bird, unfortunately Bella has my sense of humour and just comes out with things as they are.

That may be so but my mother is very prudish about things like that and to hear Bella fart and then start laughing about it may be more than she can bear especially if she has people to stay as she quite often has may be more than she can stand! :laugh: Im supposed to be a respectable funeral director! :laugh: :laugh:

She loves bodily function noises, i do suffer with wind as well and she copies them exactly at the time i do them and then cracks up laughing! I will not be asking my parents to parrot sit for me if i go away. :blush:

Never ever take your bird to the bathroom with you! Bella used to go with me and now regales everyone with the sound of me on the loo having a wee. Its so embarrassing. Im trying to teach her nice things to say and she just comes out with the tinkling noise. :blush:

African greys are naturally lazy from what ive heard and thinking about it why should they fly when their slaves carry them wherever they want to go and pick their toys up for them when they throw them across the room and generally do everything they want us to do for them whenever they demand? :unsure: :unsure:

Neither of mine fly much, Bella used to fly round the room a bit but now only flies from one perch to me or another perch, Bellino used to fly from cage to playstand but now prefers to be carried over to it, neither of them seem to be able to fly properly anymore, no reason why, theyve never been clipped and always allowed to fly if they wanted to.
