STOP THE PROPOSED APHIS RULE IN THREE EASY STEPS
Look at how the APHIS rule will affect you:
For those who think any "good" breeder should be willing to be USDA licensed and inspected, below is a preview (and not even the worst examples known) of what that's like once one has built a $40,000+ separate USDA-approved facility. I hope it helps *everyone* who cares about animals and people see the egregious consequences of the proposed rules. Until animal owners have "walked a mile in the shoes of a USDA licensed breeder", they have no idea of the difficulty of having a totally compliant operation. And owning or having possession of over *four* breedable (not breeding necessarily) females (of any of the covered pet species, e.g., 3 dogs + 2 rabbits) means a person must be USDA licensed. In addition, shipping *one* animal or meeting someone to deliver an animal (if the person hasn't been to your *home* to see that animal first) kicks in USDA licensing requirements. THIS IS AN ANIMAL RIGHTS-INFLUENCED REGULATION INTENDED TO DESTROY HOME PET BREEDING. We cannot let that happen!
