Late to the post but no less worried with you, thank heavens you didn't panic but knew to keep her warm and made it through those first bad hours. Glad to hear the antibiotics are making a difference. Keep up the excellent attitude and what ever it takes to keep you calm it is helping Java pull through.
Curses we are human and we need to just accept that and get along, good grief folks we are here for the birds not petty or critical verbiage use. Gosh many of the folks on here English is their newest language and we probably confuse them terribly some times. Greyt on Grey forums is cute, lots of people get a little warm feeling there and we all can understand the intent. Thicker skin may be the best bet here and Jayd you are one of the big reasons I am on this board would appreciate if you stuck around. Pet peeves do not need to be fed and cared for but our flock members all do! Yes I like to use Exclamation points I think I speak that way as well. All the best folks and what a tempest in a tea pot I just became a part of.
Sounds like they are trying to define their boundaries with you and with each other. Give them lots to shred and debark, lots of showers. I think they and you will sleep better with all the exercise, just keep up that positive energy!
He could have fallen or gotten caught between cage bars causing that break these are common causes. It will take a while for him to break some of those negative habits like feather chewing so take another deep breath and keep on rolling along. Reward the positive and ignore the negative-distract when you can. A good friend has had escape artists in her past here is one of her comments. I did have a Scarlet that would get out and she would let only her firends ie military and severe. She wouldn't let the B&G or tooz out.
He has a Tail! He may remain a bit cage aggressive but I think as he learns that he is in a good place he will settle in and relax a bit. Worried about that wing though, perhaps disjointed or an old fracture?
Travel magazine material, lovely colors remind me of the Native American Prayer As I Walk with Beauty As I walk, as I walk
The universe is walking with me
In beauty it walks before me
In beauty it walks behind me
In beauty it walks below me
In beauty it walks above me
Beauty is on every side
As I walk, I walk with Beauty.

Happy you have found us and Kikki. You are off to a "-greyt"start building him a place of his own. He may be a little clumsy to start with as he has not developed his flight muscles so you may wish to provide something soft under his taller branches to fall on safely if needed. Adding an untreated or homemade wooden ladder might be a smart thing to place for easy climbing from the groud to his perches. You can hang some toys from it as well.
