They are Beautiful Birds but Macaws scare me it's thoose big beaks plus the fact that I will be haveing 4 birds to feed and take care of on monday as they say the Inn is full plus my hubby might shoot me lol I'am sure you will find them a very nice home because they look very healthy

No Ziggy comeing , she has Scooby Doo on his hatch certificate and she has been calling him Scooby and she thinks he sort of knows his name, she was going to keep him for a pet at one time then she changed her mind but she is very picky on who she sells him to I guess I must have passed the test and she wanted someone who has bird experience and is going to keep him for a pet not a breeder bird, we talked 3 or 4 times and it's nice to know she trusts me with her special baby and my soon to special baby, but all my birds are special

Rudy will have a new little brother come monday afternoon,I'am driveing to Grand Rapids to pic up a tiny little yellow boy ,now what could that be ? lol he is a parrotlet :)we are nameing him Ziggy so now she will have 2 older brothers and 1 younger brother, she is still the only girl

for the last 3 days she will not touch a veggie, I made brown rice, sweet potatoes, squash,and some mixed vegtables tonight and she looked at it then took off back to her cage and started eating her pellets , I hope this is just a stage she is going through and it doesn't last very long , she used to love veggies especially cooked veggies about the only raw veggie she will eat is carrots and some sweet potatoe , she didn't even touch her pomagranites or her blueberries , any ideas on what is going on here?

ty Jayd and ty Dave , love the pics :)ok you are all right you never know what species will get along with another species , who would think a Quaker and a Tag would be best friends , that really suprises me but Rudy and Opey the quaker are together all day and all evening , if Rudy flys to her cage for awhile to play with her toys and eat Opey will start calling her in human language and in bird language and she will always fly back back to his cage soon after he calls her, they are like 2 peas in a pod lol not real sure what kind of bird I want to get I'am doing some research now but this will not be for awhile and I might decide to pass and be happy with the 3 I have which I'am already happy with my flock :)if I do decide to add I'am thinking about a IRN or a Alexandrean or maybe even a Blue Crown Conure , will let u all know when it happens

I cooked about 25 of thoose little brussel sprouts today to mix in with the fids food today then I took out about 5 of them and the rest I put in a zip lock bag and put them in the freezer, I ran out of freezer bags so I hope a ziplock bag will work , someone let me know , if u cannot freeze them or it's not a good idea then I will toss them out:huh:

I feed both fresh and frozen , most of the time I mix a little frozen veggies with their fresh veggies that I have cooked,I cook new veggies every 3 to 4 days and I always switch up their veggies so they don't eat the same thing all the time , like tomorrow I'am cooking sweet potatoes, zucini, beans ,brussel sprouts ,squash and a liitle bit of mixed frozen veggies ,then in a seperate bowl I chop up kale,green peppers,yellow peppers,jalepenos,banana peppers , carrots and apples now for dessert they get blueberries, strawberries and pomagranite , they always look for some fruit after their veggies and it keeps them at the kitchen table longer , yep they eat at the kitchen table it's easier then cleaning food bowls and the cage again

sounds like a proud moma to me thats the cage I'am going to get Rudy this summer , they have it at my bird store for 429.00 and the owner is giving me a discount so I can get it for 380.00 :)it's a kings cage , yours is to right? love that cage I want to get the platnum or a light grey the cage she is in now is black and she is so dark sometimes it's easy to loose her in it lol

hmmm adding a Amazon now thats a posibility was thinking of adding another bird maybe next summer just not sure what kind,as first I was thinking a Hahns Macaw but I hear the are super active and very loud then I was thinking about a IRN my friend at work has one and she is super friendly and not loud or hyper active plus she eats anything in site what goes with a Timneh grey, a Eclectus and a quaker ? lol any ideas?

let me see we have had about 3 babble balls so far , they are great but the batteries don't seem to last to long , KC my Eclectus just loves them not sure how Rudy would react to one , KC has went through 3 of them so far,if you look at Bed Bath and Beyond store sometimes they carry them for alot cheaper then you can order them off the comp I think they were 2.98 or 3.98 when we went there about a month ago , I would have bought a few then ,buttttttt someone pulled all the tabs and they were all going off lol couldn't find a one that wasn't babbeling

lol potty training sounds like a long time training, I have her trained sort of in the morning when I let her out of her cage I will put her on the playstand and tell her to go poopy and I have a paper towel under her some times she does and sometimes she doesn't

Finally she gave it up, she never really rejected the the formula or the hand feeding , she would probably still take it now if I offered it but she hasn't cryed for it in 5 days , she has just been eating all her food and going to bed like a good little girl :)before she would sound the alarm at 8:30 pm on the dot,I haven't heard any alarms in 5 days so I guess she figures she is all grown up she sure took her time lol

the perch store is still open? I thought it was closed down because of alot of order disputes with Joey, I know the forum is shut down or was??????????????????

ok now what is Persimmons exactly? fruit or veggie because I have never heard of them
