alittle while ago while I was posting my pictures for everyone James was walking into the living room, and as soon as James turned away from the cage, Rene flew and lunged for James' face he has a cut right under eye.. uh oh.. now I am NEVER gonna get them to get along...

A friend of my mum's has a CAG her name is Winnie, every night when Hope sits down do have her supper it goes.. Winnie- Winnie need bite Hope- Winnie has to wait its hot Winnie- Winnie need HOT bite Hope- you don't want it its to hot Winnie- HOPE Winnie need HOT BITE NOW!!, winnie likes hot... and it will continue until Hope cools off a bite enough for Winnie to have a bite, also after supper her grey and zon ask for their popsicles lol I'm not sure if this falls in the same catagory but I think it is awesome

I'm going to try my best to describe what Rene is doing bare with me I haven't figured out the right words for this yet, Rene was terrified of my coffee cup, then he warmed up to any coffee cup, now he is obsessed with coffee cups, I literally have to RUN away from him when he is in that mood, well this morning I let him just have it after it was empty and washed of course and he did the strangest thing, he put his beak around the top and started to bob his head reminding me of when you spoon/syringe feed them, then he put his whole face in with his mouth open and took what looked like a BIG gulp of the imaginary substance inside of the cup, lifted his head and "swallowed" and repeated... soooo I called my cousin asked if he was ever fed something out of a coffee cup he said no, even his baby formula was out of a small clear glass. Was he just playing with me and doing his best people imitation? So now I'm thinking, is he trying to give me a hint? should I offer him something and what? should I try a spoon? or let him just do it on his own?

Rene doesn't like to get his beak dirty, like when I go to bring him lets say a grape as soon as he see's what I am holding he starts to shake his head, I have to hand it to him and will bite into it and try to shake all the moisture out of it lol, he uses his feet for dry things like pellets wood blocks and bells oh and karate kicks lol...

Well if your going to have a conference call then Penny you better give them your best Massachusetts accent!! lol you going to be a representative for us "massholes"

Jan, Rene did something like that today, he was taking apart one of his toys which had big plastic balls on it and each time it would fall he would make the splat noise lol, then go down to the floor pick it up and make the laser noise.. he also does it when he is holding sticks lol like he is holding a real laser hahaha Bonnie

Rene has me trained LOL and lately the game is to make the sound of a bomb dropping woooooooooooo splat!!! to which I answer Good job!!!! then its my turn I make the noise but not the splat... he does it so much better than I.. then I will do it again this time with the splat and I get a big happy GOOD JOB from Rene...He will play this way for as long as I will whistle back. and today I am trying to teach him the splat noise over and over, sounds like a bad imitation of a gun LOL and go OH you got me!!, he now mumbles and ends with Oh Got!! I am working on a video, I have a lot of editing to do so it fits and you can hear him speak.... hopefully tomorrow

I was having the same trouble when I had to buy seed mix for Rene, I ended up going to a few different pet shops and looking at that the different by weight options they have, I ended up choosing something that had no sunflower seed and a bunch of nuts, shelled peanuts, I add maybe a dozen or so sunflower seeds to his mix. I'm not sure if it is available all over but it is ABBA 1300 Seed Mix I am also going to start adding some banana chips and some other dehydrated veggies to it. now that I know he will eat them

Thanks Dan, I wasn't exactly sure what to do as today is literally the first day he let me get him to step up and receive some petting! I just had him with me again, and all was fine, but he kept trying to get to my shoulder and that for now is still a no no, only because I am not 100% comfortable yet... Thanks again Bonnie

I notice sometimes some people have a plus sign after their name, but not every time.. lol what does that mean? I want one hahahaha

Well things have been on a day to day basis with Rene, we have good days, and we have bad. I have been trying to get him to eat and today I figured out he likes to eat in the cage not out lol..Ok now on to how we handle Rene, up until today I was not allowed to ask for a step-up when he is out of the cage, unless he flies to the floor or somewhere in the house he will gladly hop up onto my hand. Petting is permitted as long as it is through cage bars. Well today, I was cleaning up the foot toys he throws all over the floor and placing back into his "play dish" and he put his head under my fingers so I took that invitation and started scratching him, one thing led to another and he crawled up into my hand and was like beaking me playing with my fingers and making kissy noises. I would scratch at his neck and top of his head, his pupils were pinning but I am assuming it was excitement right? I sat on to the couch and we continued all happy and then it happened lol... wings dropped and he started making the whiny kissy noises... I was crushed lol... it hurt to have to tell him I love him and place him back to his cage :( And now he is mad at me, he was just trying to tear apart my curtains, end table and finger hahaha... well at least now I know he at least finds me some what compatible LOL Bonnie

How is the playstand comming?? How long did it take for the hubby to figure out his tools were moved??

thank you he ate the inside of the grape and tomato leaving just the skins, all the cheerios, but only a bite or so of egg, he also tossed the toast right out and fed my dogs lol... so now I have to think about supper .... I felt like such a dummy when he went right over and started eating, now we'll see if he will eat other things. Thanks again Maggie a I printed out our previous convo's so I have a handy list in the kitchen!
