If it is a tea towel - here's my riddle: A doctor and a boy were fishing. The boy was the doctor's son, but the doctor was not the boy's father. Who was the doctor?

Ha Ha! What on earth do you mean Janet!!! I'm currently planning my new club - not sure what it's going to be called yet though........! :laugh:

I have sat here absolutely killing myself laughing - I've had to go and take a picture of my living room - and the proximity of Harvey and his playstand!! Bean mush cleans beautifully off the screen!!! Obviously we believe in embracing our fids into the family setting too!!!!

I do speak to Harvey more animated - but I don't think I could stop it! Say, when I come downstairs in the morning - I don't just mutter "morning" in the way I will to the first person I see - I say "Good morning baby, how are you today" - in the way I would speak to a toddler! I don't think I can change it though! I must say - my "human" voice - will be well recognisable - when he starts saying phrases such as "Harvey no", "Harvey stop it", "Harvey no" and "Harvey, naughty boy"!!!! :laugh:

Ha Ha! I wouldn't mind if Harvey wasn't a "talker" - I had 17 years with a rescue cockatiel that I couldn't even touch - he was that vicious - but I still loved him and looked after him. I'd seen those African Greys in Africa - but just thought that they spoke some sort of African dialect - since I can't understand it I would obviously prefer him to talk - but I'm not sure he'll get a word in edgewise around me anyway (just before anybody else says it!!) :laugh:

I would like to lie and say that I searched the internet - but it was a "featured video" when I clicked on to You Tube!!!

Hi Jenny - I got Harvey from John at Parrot Care, as did Daveyj and Pearlyn use John too. He is very approachable and reputable and has been around for years and years, his father before him. His showroom is immaculate and everything is so well cared for and looked after. You can make an appointment to visit, but if you just want a grey shipped I know they arrange that too. That's a great stand - is it java wood? I've been looking at one of these for Harvey - but I think it would probably have the same effect as with Rikki - at least you have the other two to make it worthwhile!

She is so beautiful, and not at all camera shy!! She looks so at home. Nice that she likes to share too :laugh:

I know these exist - but it seems that all of you with greys of a certain age can speak. I read with enjoyment and watch videos of all of these greys chatting away etc, and EVERYONE'S seems to be able to talk. Harvey shows minimal signs of wanting to talk - sounds like he may be saying "hello" under his breath sometimes, but prefers to whistle and call etc. I know he's only 11 months old - and there's plenty of time, but I was just wondering if anyone does have a grey who doesn't talk?

Harvey's the same as Josey - he dunks his coconut shreddings in the water - not his food! Oh the mind of a parrot! :laugh:

That would be great for sitting on the desk next to me, instead of top of the door, where door frames are very tempting! I'm with Julie - I want a Bird Paradise store!!

I've just found that broccoli is not a unique throwing food! Emma's concentration is great - Harvey would have chewed that bag for about three seconds, and then dropped it! Poor little Sachi wasn't getting a look in!! Harvey was singing along (as usual) to your music - and then - MARY POPPINS!!! I was singing too!!! :laugh:

You come in from work each evening, walk past your husband and kids and go straight to your parrot (or is that just me!!!). I used to buy myself something every weekend - I'm more likely to buy a new toy or treat for Harvey!!! :laugh:

I have just spent my coffee time, cup in hand, picking up broccoli, putting it back in the bowl, for Harvey to pick the SAME bit of broccoli out of his bowl and throw it to the floor!! He thinks it's hilarious! He was actually bobbing up and down with anticipation of me putting it back in there so he could start all over again! EXASPERATING!!!:laugh: Does anyone have a recipe for parrot pie!!!! :laugh:
