  1. Very clever!! I don't know where people get the time and energy from to create things like this!! Thanks for sharing
  2. My cockatiel used to suffer night frights all of the time and like Charlie would nearly kill himself flapping around in the cage until I got there. We think we discovered that it was the cooling/heating of the central heating pipes/water pipes as one evening we were sitting whilst Spiky was covered for the evening and the pipe just "pinged" ever so slightly - and that was it - all hell broke loose. I only ever caught it "happening" once, but this is what seemed to trigger him on this occasion. Hope you find what it is soon - poor you and Charlie.

He was with me at the dinner table, he was with me when I was cleaning. So - I can't say this is normal for my "grey"! I presume Jamal is speaking of his own poor bird, and does not represent I would say probably 95% of this forum! Loads of people have multiple greys/other birds - but I think I'd have a nervous breakdown personally!!! Sounds like you are doing a great job with 'Nesh - keep up the good work x
  4. Hi Marianna - Welcome to the forum. You seem to have your hands full with your birdie fraternity!! It'll be lovely to hear more about you and your fids
  5. Oh Spock - it's lovely to hear from you, but sorry about your dicky tummy, bless. If you eat up your medicine and your lovely new diet your little tummy will clear up in no time and you can eat all those lovely things that Jay eats! Please give me notice for the red carpet event at the oscars - I need to slim to get into my ball gown - that is assuming you will be taking me as your partner?
  6. What a good birdie Koko is - thanks for sharing these videos
  7. Robin that is such good news! I am over the moon for you (and GBG)! Now that you've managed to mist Beau with success - when his little feathers come back he might think "hey - I want that feeling on my skin again" and fluff up!!! Bonus! Thanks for the update - like I've said before - he's a lucky little chap to have such a caring lady as his mommy!

  9. Hi Spookychick13 - glad you found us and welcome to the forum. Echo looks a lovely little bird - I look forward to hearing more about you all.
  10. Ha Ha Ha Ha! I'm at work, it's 07.21 am and I'm sitting here crying laughing!! I would like to complain as that picture of me is TOTALLY unrepresentative. I have far more whiskers on my chin than that early photo of me you have. I can actually plait my beard now!!! PS. Bernie - keep that photo of me, because one day Janet won't be laughing when you sell it for millions - it'll be a classic
  11. Goodness! He's the size of a small dog!! He is absolutely beautiful - what saddens me is that he is in a pet shop You accessorised beautifully though by wearing that coat - my favourite colour is pink - do you think you could find one for me that matches
  12. Hi Speakyourmind and welcome to the forum - glad you've taken the leap from lurker to member!! My introduction says it all when you hover over my name "I was known for my show home before Harvey moved in, now I wouldn't show anyone my home"!! Harvey's favourite past times are flicking beans and spinach up the walls, doors, windows, floors......! He is "toilet trained" but when he can't be bothered to return to his stand (like when he's with me in the study) he will just go ahead and poop. Harvey chews anything that gets in his way - whether it's his or not. You just have to be quick enough to evade him. I know these are all the negatives - but you are right to take this into mind when thinking about getting a grey. This, on top of special diets to make and cleaning of bowls and cages each day makes for a lot of work. The TV becomes a thing of the past! Karma to you for researching well though - it is very important.

This must have taken, oooh, let's think - 8 seconds in all!!! The only way to keep Harvey in is to nail him to the perch!!!

  15. Goodness me! Check my wrinkles - clearly the Marx sisters there (Janet & Judy) couldn't manage the full quota of air needed to smooth them out! All I can say is, there is 11 months until my 76th birthday and therefore it gives you loads of time to save for the little nip and tuck that is clearly needed here!!! PS. I would never wear red (the shorts) with pink (the t-shirt) - that's so 1982!
  16. Hi Jackyshay - I don't know where you're from - but here in the UK the number is the registration number with the UK Parrot Society - if I could get hold of Harvey's leg I'd tell you what it says - but he hates having his feet touched! Like Judy says - the bands can cause real trouble - and I think when Harvey goes for his next wellness check I'm going to ask the vet to remove Harvey's, and get him chipped.
  17. This is Harvey after a particularly messy veggies and beans session (sorry it's a little blurred - he wouldn't stop moving his gob!!) Yip! Ended up flying through here to the study to me, landing on my shoulder and wiping it all over my t-shirt! Moral of the story to you non-parrot owners who are feeling your way through this forum and making that all important decision - YOU NEVER WEAR GOOD CLOTHES AROUND YOUR BABY!!!
  18. That picture was from my "secret collection" - Hugh Heffner had the only copy - how come you got your hands on it!!!
  19. It's really not worth stressing over Penny - there's worse things going on in the world than me having to use the little scrolling ball to get to the start/end of posts! If it can't be fixed, so be it! Top computer tip to all: buy a mouse will a scrolly ball on it - makes life a lot easier
  20. Yes - I'm already one - so I'm offering my broken bike!!!
  21. You would never in a million years think that they would figure that one out as an escape route - Charlie's had his eye on the cats!! Thank goodness things were okay though!
  22. It's the back of Barbie's head - that lovely blonde hair, pony tail swinging What else did you all think it was? PS. Davey - In your dreams!!!!!
  23. I can't believe you have posted such terrible things about Alfie - look at that picture - butter wouldn't melt!!!!! Have the hiccups stopped?
  24. Good god Pat - if something that size had come towards me I would have been off!!! Good on your daughter for standing her ground - she's braver than me!!!
  25. And we are happy to have you! Welcome to the forum - it's nice to know you're new and happy here - but who are you and do you have a grey? Just being nosy!!! PS - the information (supported by photos) would be most welcomed!!!
