Pat you are so lucky and so is Harley - to have you as his mom. It really makes you wonder if he actually ever had behaviour problems or if Harley was just deeply unhappy with his surroundings and/or the way he was treated. God bless you Pat, you are an inspiration.

Caroline, I've been thinking about you since hearing your sad news. I know this is a tough time for you but you will get through it and as someone else said, you will think of your grandmother in the future and smile as I do mine. As my grandmother got older she became unafraid to speak her mind often to our embarrassement but of course we look back now and laugh about it, happy memories. We miss her but we have that and you will too although you are probably too upset to think about that now.

Dan I know just how you feel. Beau is in love with hubby and regurges for him (not that I'm complaining about this you understand :sick: :pinch: ) every day. It is me that does everything for him but it seems I just aint good enough :angry: :dry:

Here is a pic, apologies for the mess but he's been in it again since and it appears he's also been food-dunking lol! Time to take it (and him) out for the evening I think lol! Haven't tried ice yet brrr!

It seems that you are indeed the chosen one lol! Don't worry it will do him no harm.

Move your head up and down and say "dance harvey, Harvey dance" - preferable after checking you can't be seen by anyone else lol! Hopefully in time Harvey will dance for you by moving his head up and down - on command. I have seen parrots doing this and it's great to watch. If you do it to a certain piece of music, in time he may even do it when he hears that particular song.

Beau hates being misted but finding a suitable bath for him hasn't been easy. The ones that are big enough for an AG don't fit on the door of his cage and are so light and shallow it would be too tempting for him to tip over. Anyway, I found this stainless steel "trough" style chinchilla bath that I thought would be just perfect. I have been reluctant to scare Beau with it as it is quite big and he has started to show fear of new toys and other stuff around the house so I placed it on the table next to his cage for a few days to prove to him that it doesn't bite lol! This morning I added it to his cage 1/4 full of water. I had to go out but when I got back my son said Beau had taken a bath because he was quite wet. So it seems the bath has been a success! greystar, These noises are perfectly normal for a grey of yours' age. I went through the same concerns as you about a month or so ago (Beau is 7 months now) but your grey is in fact practicing his "human" voice. I posted on here with my concerns also. You now have much to look forward to, those first words are very special.

I'm praying for the safe return of your baby. Please don't give up.
