Chelsea your baby is soo adorable! Congrats I bet you can't wait.

Hello, I am sorry to hear this has happened. Whoever told you to pluck them out was wrong but its done and over now and there is nothing you can do, hopefully you know not to do it again. Unfortunately your grey has lost his trust in you, and it will take some time for him to get over this too. You have to be patient with him and let him go at his own pace. Don't force him to like you again or it could get worse, just give him space.

Hi, welcome to the forum! Aww look at your precious baby, he/she is sooo adorable! Congrats on your new addition. Have you picked out a name for your baby yet? I look forward to hearing more about you and your new baby. -
{Feel-good-0002006E} Haha I know what you mean! They will perch on anything they can get on. Everytime I open a cabinet door Ecko comes flying, hey look, its something new to perch on haha. Great picture of Tigerlily. <br><br>Post edited by: caitb2007, at: 2009/07/10 19:20

That was soo adorable Jenna! Koa sure loves her baths, I wish Ecko would get into it like that haha. Karma for you for sharing this cute video, I loved it!

Great shots of Koko flying in her harness! For some reason Ecko doesn't like to fly in his harness. How did you get such a long string? Or did you let it go of it when she flew?

I don't think they can get eczema but I am no expert, maybe someone else can answer that as a fact. But you can help his dry skin by spraying him with 100% aloe vera juice, have you been doing that? If not, you can purchase it by the gallon near the pharmacy section at Walmart.

Congrats on a baby boy.

 HAahahahah omg that is sooo funny!! That is crazy how those 3 birds share the same cage too WOW!

YAY congrats Apollo for flying! Isn't it so exciting? I also live in a small 2 bedroom apt but Ecko gets around great and loves to fly around, he manages to do the sharpest turns into the bedrooms and it is quite amazing. I wouldn't worry too much about him flying and pooping at the same time, I have never seen Ecko poop while flying. Chet is a big NO NO! I would not recommend him at all. There a lot of threads on here that explain why people do not like it, just type his name in the search box and you will see what we mean. You are doing the right thing by saying go poop everytime you see him poop, it is not a waste of time, it is actually the first step of potty training so keep doing what your doing. Your doing a wonderful job. So how is he eating? What kind of fruits and veggies does he like? Is he a picky eater?

I would just keep an eye on those two, I'm sure it is just hardcore preening though lol. So you purchased the tux flight suit Jamal? How does Marvin like it? Is it hard to get it on him?<br><br>Post edited by: caitb2007, at: 2009/07/10 16:09

Great job on your first youtube videos! They are great. Tigerlily is too cute, her voice is so low and sweet. I think she needs a tissue after all that sneezing haha. Thanks for sharing.

Oh I am sorry to hear that Dan. I hope everything goes ok and the tests come back good. My thoughts are with you. Chloe is beautiful btw.

I agree, if one site says its safe and one site says its not safe then I wouldn't use it since there is no fact that it is safe. It is better safe than sorry.

Also making toys is a money saving idea. If you buy a couple of supplies for cheap at the dollar store you can make a lot of different toys out of them, the simpliest things like a string of beads can occupy him forever. Luckily he doesn't know how to untie the knots yet so he can't get to the beads. Check out my newest thread in the toys room. I bought supplies for under $10 at the dollar store and I've already made 6 different toys out of the supplies and still have more left.<br><br>Post edited by: caitb2007, at: 2009/07/09 17:22

I made a new toy for Slater and Ecko the other day. They are simple, easy to make toys. Here is Ecko's new toy. I didn't want to use glue because its not safe so I tied leather string around the popsicle sticks for them to stay. Then I put beads on more leather string and some wooden stars in between and made him a new toy in 5 minutes. Cheap and easy and he loved it, I noticed that he started chewing up the popsicle sticks the other day. And here is Slater's new toy. His toy had to be bigger because he goes through them so fast. I used some blue rope and some wiffle balls, tied a couple of knots and added some leather string and beads and some straws too. At the end is a little squeaky frog that I punch a hole in. I moved it over to his perch and he went straight for it. Within 15 minutes he undid all of the knots and threw the beads all over the floor haha, he is too smart. I made sure to watch him carefully with the beads because I know they are small and he could choke on them but he enjoyed throwing them everywhere and hearing the beads on the floor lol. He destroyed that toy completely in 3 days, tore the wiffle balls to pieces and everything, the only thing left was the blue rope. Oh well, it was cheap and an easy toy to make. Oh yea and my princess Misty was helping me make the toys haha.<br><br>Post edited by: caitb2007, at: 2009/07/09 17:16

Awww poor Baby! I hope things turn out ok for that poor girl.

I agree! Greys are VERY expensive. You even have to consider the damaged items, for example cell phones, laptops, cords, etc. Thank god Ecko hasn't cost me too much on those items but he does cost a lot in food and toys! He loves to waste a lot of food too lol. Hi Tango, I would also like to see your creative toys in the Homemade toys & playstands room. Hope to hear more about you and your grey in the welcome room too. <br><br>Post edited by: caitb2007, at: 2009/07/09 16:45

I saw your cage, its HUGE! It definitely needs more toys and perches in there. I don't understand why, whoever is telling you these things, thinks its not good to have a lot of perches and toys in the cage. The love to play with toys and they love to climb at this age. They need stuff so they don't get bored in their cage. This is what part of Ecko's cage looks like, notice all the different perches, and toys, and a swing. He loves them all and plays with everything in his cage. Apollo has a bigger cage than Ecko but it looks so empty, he needs more.
-
Haha, I love it! That is so funny! Dayo is a real character. So thats why Ecko's breast muscle pump out after he flies? Lol his "2-pack" looks just like Dayo's lol.
-
Congrats! Tigerlily is going to have so much fun on it.. once she gets used to it lol. Don't worry it just takes time.

I would put more than one perch in the cage for him. Why would only one be allowed? Thats all they do, is perch, so they need a lot of perches that are different textures, like a real bird safe branches, or a sand perch, or a rope perch etc. Also you can cover the cage if you want to. I cover the cage for Ecko at night, most members on here do but some also choose not to cover their birds at night, its your choice, either way is fine. Ecko also use to climb under couch and it would be hard to get him out so I started blocking his way so he didn't go under it. He eventually got the point and doesn't try to go under the couch anymore, you just have to tell them no over and over again. Good luck, and great avatar picture by the way, Apollo is too cute.
