  1. This is the journey of Ecko and his basket LOL. Ecko has a wicker basket that he absolutely LOVES! He can spend hours on it playing, chewing, whistling, staring, and basically just being a very good boy. I put foot toys at the bottom and turned it into a fun and cheap portable perch. Ecko loves to come outside with me and just listen to all the birds. I brought him out with his basket and put him under the shade and he was loving it. Everytime the wind blew the leaves he would get mad at the leaves and growl at them haha. He also loves those squeaky toys and chews them to pieces. The first time I gave him a squeaky toy he made it squeak and he dropped it like what the heck was that noise, haha and then picked it right back up and put a hole in it LOL. He will sit on his basket and stare out the window forever. I don't know what it is about this basket but he gets so calm on it. Its a great thing to have. Well I hope you enjoyed the journey of Ecko -the basket bird.
  2. I gotta share another Mango story, this bird is such a clown! She has a new thing now and it is hilarious! So you know how she jumps on the dogs and rides around, well she now uses this to her advantage. She will jump on the dogs, climb down their legs, and get on the floor and start running. She takes off full speed and goes straight to the dogs water bowls, she'll climb up into the bowls and starts to take a bath. Hahaha it is the funniest thing ever. She gets all into and splashes and rolls around. LOL No wonder why they call these birds the clown bird. Heres a new pic of her outside looking up at the wild birds.

  22. Hi Rana, I'm sorry I really don't know anything about making cement perches or if there is a bird safe kind of cement. I did try googling it for you and I couldn't find anything about which kind of cement to use. I did find this but it doesn't mention what kind of cement they used. http://budgielandaviary.com/cemtprch.htm Hopefully someone else can help you out. I hope to see the finished product, it sounds like a lot of steps but I'm sure you can do it. Good luck.
