I don't think thats true at all. My moms grey's name is Slater and he can say it perfectly. My grey's name is Ecko and his very first word was his name, Ecko, he says it great now. So their names don't end in "y" and they can still say it easily. Choose the name you like because you will be calling him/her that for the next 50+ years. Hello Dianemelissa, welcome to the forum! Congrats on finding your baby grey. How old is he/she? I know what you mean about the wait lol it seems like forever and a day but its so worth it in the end. These babies are such a joy to have. I have a 6 month old CAG named Ecko and he is so much fun. Have you decided on any names yet? I suggest you read through the threads in the Nursery room, it has a lot of great info, especially the sticky threads(the ones at the very top with a pin next to it.) I look forward to hearing more about you and your new baby grey. If you have anymore pics to share we would love to see.

Hehe no problem Judy, its my pleasure. Ecko goes through those seed sticks so fast and I would have none left, so I kept thinking what else I could do with it and came up with this idea.

After reading Char's post "A favorite foraging toy" I wanted to share another great foraging toy that Ecko really enjoys. He has had it since I brought him home and he still loves it and plays with it everyday. Sometimes I put seed stick treats in there, sometimes I put toast with RPO spread on it and now I fill it up with his favorite fruits and veggies. I recently started putting the fruits and veggies in there and it was a huge hit. I know he can't eat all of those veggies by himself but he can sure destroy everything to pieces and has fun doing it. I purchased this toy at Petco. When I came home that day the toy was completely empty and Ecko's face was a mess haha. :laugh:

I agree with the others, you should take him with you. He will have fun with you. Its good to hear Chikki is doing ok now.

Congrats on finding your baby TAG! I bet you are soo excited to bring him/her home. How old are these babies? The red feathers your talking about is called red factor and it has nothing to do with it being a bad sign, its absolutely normal. I can't wait to see pics of your new baby and hear how the homecoming goes.
