Dave007 wrote: Dave, I didn't know this. I have been using RPO for a while now and I have never heated it up before, it doesn't say that is has to be heated on the bottle that I have. Is it ok that I don't heat it or does it have to be heated???

    training

I agree with Jane, now is a good time to start training, and step up should be one of the first things they should learn. You can also try training him to do recall, potty training, or perch training etc. Ecko's favorite treat would be pine nuts, so thats what I would use if I were going to give him treats. I really don't use treats though, I just give him lots of praises. The first thing he learned was step up, and now I am potty training him, he almost has it too. Recall training will be next, where he flies to me on command. Good luck on your training, can't wait to hear what your baby has learned.
  13. Stazel is so pretty Steph, and I love the name you chose! It sounds like she is adjusting to her new home very well. Thats wonderful that you gave her a loving home. I live in FL also so I know how the mosquito's are at night but during the day I don't see a problem with them. I only take Ecko outside during the day and I've never seen a mosquito come near him, and I do watch carefully. I would just avoid bringing her outside at night because those pesty mosquitos are dangerous to our babies. Anyways, can't wait to hear more about Stazel and her progress.
  14. Aww look at little Rudy, she is so precious! Great pics!
  15. Congrats on Darwins first words!! Isn't it sooo exciting?! Ecko says his name now and I get so excited so I know how you feel lol. You are so lucky to have such a wonderful job, I am so jealous! Darwin sounds like such a sweetie! I loved the pictures of her, she is so cute! And Apollo is so BIG! Wow that is going to be one big dog. Thanks for the update and pics Cassandra, karma for you.
  16. Thank you, it is very exciting! Everytime he starts going at it I turn everything off so I can listen to him. He always makes new noises and I try to figure out where they come from haha. He can keep me entertained for hours.
  17. I am so sorry to hear that! I hope Athena comes back to you!
  18. Hi Rainfire, welcome to the forum! Thats great you are doing your research before rushing into getting a grey. I agree with Judy, I think getting a baby grey would be the best idea if its your first big bird because rescue greys can be very challenging but also very rewarding. You have to be committed to a baby for it's whole 50+ year lifespan though so make sure you know what your getting yourself into. I wish you the best in deciding and finding your perfect companion. I hope to hear more from you.
  19. HAHA such a silly Harvey! Great picture of him.
