Ecko's new obsession is PENCILS!! I can never get my homework done when he is out because he is always stealing my pencils and flying off with them. The thing he likes most about it is the erasers, he loves to tear up the eraser and throw it everywhere. I had to take the eraser out because every time he saw it he would go crazy for it haha he is a crazzzyyy bird!! Here is a video of the thief in action... Thank you all so much for your replies. This is exactly why I came here to vent because I knew you all would make me feel better and give me some really good advice. I am going to do everything you guys just mentioned. One thing I did notice about him today is his feathers are falling out.. Robert was petting him and a couple of his grey feathers fell out and his cage is full of down feathers. I think he is molting and this could also be one of the reasons why he is being so aggressive towards me. Wow I just noticed that today is October 2nd.. that makes him 8 months old today!! Thanks for the tips Judy and Robin. Everything is fine.. school started again for me and I am taking really hard classes so its been taking up all of my time and I can hardly come on here now. I work full time and I am taking night classes so maybe this could have something to do with it by me not being home as much as I use to but maybe not because this behavior started way before school started. It just seems its getting worse because now I can't get him out of the cage, and I can't put him back in the cage. He's still obsessed with Robert and he can handle him fine so when he is here its all good. But he is also going to school and working and we have opposite schedules so I'm usually with him alone. I do make sure he still gets alot of attention and atleast 4 hours out of cage time a day even with our hectic schedules and on weekends he gets out a lot more. He gets lots of forage toys to keep him busy during the times we aren't home and he still eats good so I'm stuck.. Ecko officially hates me now. He won't even step up for me from out of his cage!! He hates being in his cage so for him not to step up to me to get out of his cage says he hates me more than his cage! When he decides he wants to step up to me getting him back in the cage is a whole different story! I have to bribe him to get back in. I'm a failure parront and I'm so sad. Heres proof of his behavior towards me...

HAHA I love this thread! I'm going to do a top 10 for Mango, my moms Caique because she is such a character!! 1.) She always sleeps in/on her sleepy hut. (either on her back inside it or leans to the side on it) 2.) She LOVES to take baths, especially in the dog bowls. 3.) She always says Hi baby or Hi mango when someone walks by. 4.) She does the typical caique "surfing" -she rubs against her toys very fast. 5.) She is very playful and goes crazy with all the toys in her cage. 6.) She likes to play on her back on the bottom of her cage with her foot toys. 7.) She likes to jump on the dogs backs and ride them around the house, holding onto their hair very tight. 8.) She talks the most when she goes outside. 9.) She is 6 months old and STILL on 2 feedings a day. 10.) She is obsessed with her formula and refuses to give it up.

It is pretty amazing how he can fly through the door without hurting himself. He has done this a couple of times now and I was watching how he does it.. he hovers at the door for a couple seconds then he stretches his wings all the way up to get through. LOL he is crazy, he hates to be in the room alone so when we go into another room he comes searching for us and gets desperate to get to us so he thinks of these master plans hahaha.. he is soo smart!<br><br>Post edited by: caitb2007, at: 2009/09/14 23:59

Ecko being a sweet boy, he wants his neck rubbed. :kiss: We finally got Ecko potty trained! YAY! I bring him to the toilet everytime I take him out of the cage and say go poo poo and he always goes instantly. This is a very short clip of Ecko flying through the door that is cracked open. This is an example of how good he can fly, I can't believe he gets through the small opening like that. Sorry I haven't been on here in a while, school is taking over my life.. I just wanted to post a tribute to my sweet loving kitty who got killed the other night. Nini was such a friendly cat, she would greet anyone who came over. I adopted her and her sister when they were just little kittens, she was only 8 years old when she died. A car hit and killed her the other night and left her for dead on the side of the road. I am very upset about this. What kind of person kills a cat and just leaves her there without saying anything to anybody?!?! It happened right in front of my neighbors house and when they got home that night they ran over to my moms house and told her. There was blood all over the road and she was cold by the time my mom got to her so she was laying there for a while. Her sister was laying there with her too. My mom wrapped her in a blanket and buried her in the backyard. I feel so bad my mom had to see her like that. Whoever did this will pay for it one day because KARMA is a B*TCH!!! RIP Sweet NINI!! I will never forget you.
