  1. Mocha is a sleeping beauty. He spends most of his time sleeping. He can even fall asleep during hand feeding. He always make a 360 degree turn before pooping.
  2. Some latest pics. Mocha is having a nap. Mocha is perching on my hand. Mocha on harness.
  3. My wife took Koko out for a morning walk for the 1st time 2 days ago. I put the harness on Koko for my wife before heading to the gym. When I came back 1 hour later, I saw my wife struggling to remove the harness off Koko. Koko didn't allow my wife to remove the harness. My wife was bitten all over her fingers. It took me just a few seconds to remove the harness without being bitten. LOL. My wife scolded Koko, "no more morning walk with you, you look at my fingers", showing her bruised fingers. I have trained Koko to perch on my fingers during outdoor walk. Before going out, I placed Koko on my wife's fingers. Koko refused to perch there, went straight for her shoulder and refused to come down.

  6. Tycos_mom wrote: He has yet to talk. Just chirping for food when he's hungry. Koko has added a new word to his vocabs. She knows how to say Mocha. Mocha is approx 5 months old. He has been seen preening quite often. And yesterday, I saw him doing some wings flapping exercise. His head is growing more "hair". He looks handsomer now. Koko dares to go near him. Koko no longer see him as a little monster from Hell.
  7. I bought a few new toys for Koko in conjunction for her 1st anniversary with us next month. She is seen enjoying one of them.
  8. Today's pics. I have moved Mocha to a small cage. He has been walking a lot recently. He seems happier than in the aquarium. His little tail is growing feathers.
  9. Koko is a good carpenter. She is redesigning our rooms' door frames.
  10. Greys have the intelligence of a 6 years old and the mentality of a 2 years old human. I guess they will never grow up.
  11. Koko loves to land on my wife's head. She hardly lands on mine because my head is balding, no grip.
  12. This is a prototype of the next generation stealth bomber. Any interested party? Or else I will offer it to North Korean or Iran.
  13. Mocha's weight has increased from 143g to 222g in 1 week.
  14. In fact, I can see the growth difference of the feathers between morning and night. They really grow every seconds.
  15. It is exactly 1 week since we have had Mocha. Pics taken 1/2 hour ago. Look at those feathers. They are growing every seconds. Do I look like a toad? Mocha is getting stronger. He was perching on the plastic aquarium for a few minutes until he lost his balance.
  16. I used to breath fresh air, now stale air with all the doors and windows closed.
  17. Mocha is flapping his wings for the camera.
  18. After 5 unsuccessful attempts to video Koko's flight yesterday, I tried again this morning. Koko has been cooperative and I managed 3 good shots.
  19. I was feeding Mocha some powdery stuff yesterday. Koko was watching on my shoulder. After feeding, Koko kept on saying "milk". "Milk" means wanna eat. So I made her Kaytee Handfeeding Formula. Normally I add Kaytee to her oatmeal because she doesn't want to be handfed anymore. She won't take Kaytee by hand feeding. But yesterday Koko enjoyed her Kaytee by hand feeding. She wanna be a baby again like Mocha.
  20. Mocha enjoys being carried by my wife. Look at the new feathers. Look like art brush.
  21. My Grey used to toss her new food away. It takes time for Greys to accept new food. She is now eating those food she used to toss away.
  22. It has been 4 days since we have had Mocha, our baby Hill Mynah. Probably because of his ugly looking with an alien like head, Koko doesn't know he is a little bird just like the rest of the fids in the house. Koko doesn't dare to go near Mocha. Koko is very fond of flying to a table where we place our car keys, house keys, bills and etc. To discourage Koko from flying there, my wife places the plastic aquarium which housed Mocha on the table. And it works. We came back in the noon today. After feeding Mocha, my wife left him (in the aquarium) on the floor. Koko flew down from her stand wanted to chew a piece of wood that was lying on the floor. As Koko was busy chewing the wood, Mocha cried out suddenly. Mocha's cries frightened Koko and off she flew to the fridge. We are quite surprised that the naughty mischievous little devil is afraid of a chick.

    smart crow

A couple of months ago, my wife witnessed a cat injured a crow on the street. The entire flock of crows came to the rescue. Some stood on the ground trying to protect the injured compatriot. They screamed and screamed to drive the cat away. Eventually, the cat left.
