  1. I bought mine from here. http://www.avianweb.com/aviatorharness.html
  2. It has been a quiet week for me. We are having a long festive holiday here. I took my family to a nearby dam for 1/2 day trip. Getting ready to take off. This is the dam. My daughter, Rachel and Koko.
  3. Only water 24/7. My grey doesn't eat at night.
  4. Thanks for your replies. At least I now know this behavior is normal.
  5. As usual, I took Koko out for a walk this morning. She was very vocal, making all sorts of sounds along the way. This is what she normally does every morning. The moment we reached home, I placed her on her perch and I went to prepare her breakfast. Normally, she would fly to my shoulder while I was making her breakfast but this time she opted to stay on her perch. Koko ate little bit of her food. She didn't seem to have appetite. She used to be hyperactive and talkative after breakfast but this morning she was docile and quiet. She flew to the staircase and sat there for the whole morning. She spent most of the time sleeping. I was so worried sick about her. This had never happened before. At 12:30pm while we were preparing for lunch Koko suddenly flew to me asking for food. I gave her some oatmeal and she started eating it. I told my wife Koko is back to normal. At 1:30pm she flew to the staircase and started to vocal. What a relief that her amplifier was working. She is 100% back to normal now. Does anyone experience something like this? What made Koko behave like this?
  6. My wife came home from her hometown with a box of fresh palm nuts. I had them rinsed then sterilized with an ozonizer. I packed them into 4 bags and kept in the freezer. The nuts weigh 6.5kg and can last a year for my grey.
  7. Mocha hasn't learnt to make any noise or to talk yet. He is a very lazy little fella. When we were home he refused to eat on his own. He wanted to be handfed. He always nag asking to be let out. Sometimes he could spend 2-3 hours on the playgym without flying away. The moment he started flying, I would put him back in the cage. It's hard to handle the moment he flies. Mocha is enjoying the sun after a bath.

Glad to hear your baby is doing well. More pix please.
  10. Congrats! Lilo will definitely be happy with you.
  11. Actually the 'fight' was nothing serious. Koko being pain in the butt wanted to nip at Mocha's feet. Mocha was very cool. He just stood still to fight off Koko without moving a millimiter from his stance.
  12. Too bad the memory card of the other camera with video function was out of order. Otherwise you guys would have a good laugh to see how Koko growled. I have never seen Koko was so fierce before. She made all of us LOL.
  13. Round 1. Koko was climbing down to take on Mocha. Koko was getting onto the swing. Mocha didn't like the presence of Koko. He pecked at Koko when Koko tried to draw closer. After a few series of bouts, Koko was defeated and left. (sorry, the fighting scenes were out of focus) Round 2. Mocha climbed up to perch on the playgym. Koko decided to fight again after she was defeated earlier. Koko was going after Mocha's feet. Koko was pecked off by Mocha. Koko attacked again. Mocha wards off Koko again. Mocha moved too fast. I couldn't get a clear shot. Koko decided to keep a distance. Round 3. The sore loser was not satisfied. Being larger, Koko couldn't have lost. Koko made series of attack. Koko couldn't break thru Mocha's fencing skill. Mocha was too skillful for Koko. Finally, Koko admitted defeat and fled the scene. Mocha 3 - Koko 0
  14. Congrats on Shanti's virgin flight.B)
  15. My sis in law paid us a visit today. She brought along Milo, her doggie. Koko and Milo met a couple of times. In each encounter Koko took flight. But this time, Koko stayed put to defend her home from this intruder.

  19. While I was browsing the net, I came across that. It made no mention how they rate the IQ level. But I am sure they have a way to hold a pen.
  20. Did you know that crow has the highest IQ score of all birdies?
  21. Koko was extremely friendly yesterday. There was a bunch of kids sitting on the slide in the playground. Koko flew over there and chat with the kids. She allowed each and everyone of them to scratch her head. Very rare indeed.
