Well my baby Grey comes home on Saturday and I have been remodeling the entire house for my new baby. True, true, re-painted new bird/den room, hall, kitchen and living room. The flooring guys are here right now placing all my carpeting and linoleum with laminate and ceramic throughout for easy cleaning. Nuts yes, but what is a girl to do unless she wants to follow the little darling around with a spray bottle; and one thing I know about myself is that I'm lazy!! Old age has some perks-- I can't wait to bring my baby home!!

Hey Daveyj, glad you and Alfie could join our family. I've been hanging around here for the last couple of months learning everything I can about greys. I pick up my baby 11/29 so I know how excited and anxious you must be to get it right. Can't wait to hear more about your Alfie and see some great pictures.

I am so sorry Poppy is gone. You can't know what caused the death. Perhaps it was an illness. If in your heart you cared for Poppy with good nutrition and love then there was nothing more you could have done if she had an avian illness. Take care and please keep in touch.

Have you looked into the EZ Care playtop from Pet Solution, they have them on sale for $279 and the whole front of the cage opens for easy cleaning. Congratulations on your new baby. Sounds like you are a bit nervous. So relax and enjoy your new fid. Your new friend just needs to know he is safe and with all your luv and calm attention, that is just around the corner. Can't wait to see pictures of your grey.

Hey Mike, congratulations on your new fid. Sounds like you care an awful lot about Buddy and because of that he is beginning to trust you. I would find a comfortable place where Buddy can see you and maybe read out loud or play with one of his toys or talk and call out to him. See if he gets curious and comes to join you. Good luck but I know Buddy will come around because he can feel your caring. Karma to you for providing a loving for Buddy.

Hi Bea, what is your Tag's name? From what you have said it sounds like your fid is just a little PO'd about the clipping and trimming. Just dose him with some refreshing Aloe Vera juice and offer him a special treat and see if he will forgive you sooner. And most certainly, welcome to the family.

Hey Bea, welcome aboard. Sounds like you and your hubby have a pretty grand flock. Can't wait to see some pictures and hear some of the stories you have to tell about your fids. With all your avian experience are you considering rehoming another grey or do you have a breeder in mind? We are certainly glad you could join us.

Its Wednesday at 5:30 pm. Have spent the day gathering paint gear and preparing my den/bird room for painting. Busy busy getting my baby's room ready. Such fun!!!

Finally a photo contest I will be able to participate in because I will be getting my grey 11/29/08!!! I am excited:silly:
