  1. I hope Sammy gets better. A picture of the cage would be nice if one is available.
  2. Congratulations on getting a new grey. How exciting for you. Please keep us informed of how the process goes. I know you will find the perfect name once you pick a grey.
  3. David can you provide any pictures of the feathers and Annie so maybe the more experienced members can have a visual to go by? What kind of shop do you have and where is Annie's cage with respect to the flow of customer traffic? Any info you can provide will help. Most of all be calm; you sound like you really care for Annie's wellbeing and that works wonders for our greys.
  4. Good thoughts go with Indy to the vet. You are such a good person to stay on top of your grey's health.
  5. It is so great that Chloe has added such joy to your family. Can't wait to see your pictures.
  6. I would certainly go talk to the neighbors to see their reaction and to explain. In your place I would try to distract Charlie in hopes of giving him something more interesting to do. Turn on some music perhaps he will find that more interesting. Good luck.
  7. Welcome Annias, kudos to you for wanting to take in two greys which need a new home. I hope everything comes to fruition for all of you.
  8. Loved the videos Judy, thanks for pointing these out to us. I wonder if my grey can shred all my paper for me so I can get rid of my electric paper shredder? Very interesting!
  9. Congratulations on your new baby CAG. She is just 3 days older than my new baby TAG. Karma to you for re-homing a 12-year old CAG last year. I can't wait to see pictures of your flock.
  10. Luv it Patsy!!!{Feel-good-0002006E}
  11. A vet check sounds in line for Zeus. Perhaps the vet can give you a calcium supplement suggestion or other vitamin advice. Good luck!
  12. Hi Renee, welcome to the family. Sounds like you have a very busy house full. Can't wait to hear some stories about you flock, you must have a whole bookcase full!!! Qwynn is a very smart looking grey.
  13. Hello Mark and Lola. Welcome to the family.
  14. Patience is a great name. My grandson wants to call her/him Saber ( he has very sharp looking beak) thank goodness he is a calm and loving grey. I will be posting pictures as soon as I find my camera/computer cable. Where did I put that ?????
  15. I wonder is Blue the oldest grey to been shown or discussed on the forum? He does look great for an ole' dude. Thanks for sharing this beautiful grey with us.
  16. My opinion, Millie M., age 76, is an exceptional breeder. She would not take a deposit, does not ship her birds, handed each potential adoptee to me separately to see which one bonded with me, checked my traveling cage and lined it to make sure my baby would be cushioned if she fell, give me a plastic bowl for food, did not take my money until she was sure I was worthy of a grey and sent me home with an extensive packet of information and dos and don'ts and enough food to last a month. Called me when I got home and called me this morning to make sure everything was okay. She wanted to make sure her baby was okay. I have no doubt that if I had said I had changed my mind she would have driven to my house to take her baby back and fully refund my money. I have a well-adjusted baby who loves to be cuddled and eats everything because Millie introduced her to everything she could think of. I consider myself very lucky to have found a wonderful and caring breeder. Annmarie this is a friendly forum, please respect that and if you need conflict go to a debate forum. Tell us about your grey we would be most interested.
  17. Hi Gerald, congratulations on your Timneh. I just got my Tag (d.o.h. 8/06/08) yesterday. It is going to be a new adventure, yes sir, it will be. Do you have any pictures you can share, we do luv pictures!!! Cloudy is a great name for a grey. Most of all, welcome to the family!!!<br><br>Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2008/12/08 19:03
  18. Yes, it is true!!! After two months of pestering every one on GreyForums I too am officially an African Grey owner. Not the youngest grey of the hatch of four, but the oldest; the one who chose me. Millie's (the breeder) last offical act was to pluck the DNA feathers for me so I can find out the gender of my Timneh. Millie did a great job of handrearing my baby. Such a loving and confident baby she is. She eats anything I offer (prefers it if I hand it to her) She explores everything. She yips like a chihuahua and makes other small dog sounds (Millie had two small dogs) so she luvs my Lily (my 7 year-old pug) but Lily's not so sure about this. I have misted her with Aloe Vera juice and she preened away. I couldn't be more delighted with my baby. I want to thank everyone who has been so kind to me while I impatiently waited for my own grey. I know you will all be there to answer any questions I might have. On that note, any names suggestions? I'm open to suggestions--
  19. Hi Barbara, I'm sorry for your unhappiness. I understand you also have a quaker and another new bird. You certainly have a full plate with your 2 dogs as well. Only you can decide if having a grey is too overwhelming for you. If I were you I would see if someone could come to your home to watch your pets and go off for a day, an overnight, a weekend and see what it is you really want in your life. Sometimes the hardest thing to is let someone or something go. You have to look in your heart and see what is best for you and your grey so everyone is comfortable and happy. Good luck!!
  20. I couldn't be happier for you Michael. Gregory is a lucky guy.
  21. Margerite that's great you were able to get Dorian's records. Happy HatchDay Dorian!!!
  22. Hip, hip Hooray. Congratulations Michael. Gregory is so blessed to have finally found a loving home. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
  23. Very thoughtful of you to re-post this Thanksgiving Recipe Dan and to Dave for first posting it; and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you for your kindness and help. Such a great family!!!
  24. These are certainly marvelous pictures Dave. You never cease to amaze me. Thank you for sharing and may you and your family have a terrific Thanksgiving.
  25. A new ingredient in Poop-Off makes it work miraculously but it now leaves everything it is used on smelling like rotten-eggs forever!!! I wish every member of the greyforum won tickets for a cruise ship voyage so we could all met personally.
