I am not a big fan of clipping wings. Birds are meant to fly. Frankly, that's why I have my birds, I love to see them flying so free, and light and happy!!!! If you want a pet that sits, get a dog, a gerbil....... (just my personal opinion)
Got error 28 from storage engine SQL=SELECT m.*, sum(case when p.published=1 then 1 else 0 end) as cnt FROM jos_menu AS m LEFT JOIN jos_menu AS p ON p.parent = m.id WHERE m.menutype='mainmenu' AND m.published='1' AND m.access <= '0' GROUP BY m.id ORDER BY m.parent, m.ordering

Got this on Home page. but all works well.
Hey Parker, welcome to the Grey Family! Looking forward to getting to know you and Ash. Pictures when you get a chance, we love seeing new pictures of each others greys.
I only have my two greys, TAG and CAG. I did have a lovely pug, Lily for almost 14 years until she was old and blind and confused. I had to have her put to sleep. I have not gotten over that and probably won't for a very long time. No more pets for now.
My vote, know yourself and your bird(s). Mine are flighted, I believe birds are meant to be flighted. However this is something I think about all the time. My Ana Grey is a TAG and very willful she is always watching to see if I accidentally leave a door/window open. My CAG, Sterling Gris, is more cautious but will follow Ana Grey to the ends of the world. Know yourself and your home and family. Small children and a very active home can change how you treat your birds so think about it and your birds then make your choices.
Stephen, you are so attuned to Elvenking. That is something that I have always enjoyed about your posts. You try to understand him and do so well. I salute your and Elvenking's relationship.
Very excited about getting to know Bunchy. First R E L A X! Greys are very observant. Bunchy will watch your every move and note it in his memory. Greys love routine so set a routine with Bunchy that you can live with so he will not be confused about "what the heck is going on". Relax and enjoy, life is going to be oodles of fun if you just let it. Welcome to the Grey Family!
Hi Bunchy14377, please start your own thread about your grey. We would love to grow and learn with you about your new friend. Welcome to the Grey Family!!
If you could find out some of the phrases or words that his prior owner used with him, that might help. Be patient and loving. Greys are flock oriented so be patient and give him time to blend in. Enjoy!
Hi Kathy. Wow, you have many years experience with a grey. I look forward to hearing some stories and seeing some pictures of your great Grey Adventures. Welcome to the Grey family!
Excuse me, but hasn't anyone told you some of your MODERATORS are in their late sixties (smile) and we have brains and very sharp feelings..... (smile). REMEMBER: As the caretakers of your parrots it is up to YOU to see that only safe (kind) souls are around your birdies no matter what age. (now off the soapbox). (snicker, snicker)!
First, relax and take a deep breath. There is oodles of information in the Health Room. The Health Room Moderator is a great guy who knows more about greys then....... . So glad you have found an avian vet in your area and that your grey is in good shape. As for the plucking, just don't give it a big thought right now and bathe Mr. Grey as indicated in many of the Health Room threads. Glad you have found this Forum Miss Poppy. Welcome to the Grey Family!!!!!
