I really don't have the words to express the delight I feel when I read about Miss Gilgirl. I must be more careful so I find all the threads about her.

After everything you experienced with your other babies and the grey time and love and patience with this little darling you deserve every beautiful, precious moment. I am so absolutely thrilled with you!

I think she is already! Head of the house, that is.

I played catch up with Gilly Girl this evening after being gone. So much has happened to that sweet, wonderful Miss Gilbert (her formal name)! Thank you for the reports. Without them I would never have known the spectacular progress she has made. And remember her fan club isn't located only in the East and South. I am homesick for Precious, but I did have three wonderful weeks with her.

What an adventure for you, for us!

I am another who was moved by the thoughtfulness and loving care for Gila. My guess is it didn't require any adjustment to knowing she is a girl. She is the same darling as before.

Rereading this brought tears to my eyes, also. It is so very difficult to have a beloved fid go to another home!

Here's to the turkeys that vegans and vegetarians will not eat! (This was cute.)

I wondered about the missing feathers and possible destroyed follicles. But Gilda is Gilda! She very well may pull off another miracle with fight. Yes she is a very well travelled little girl. I am sure she will enjoy every bit of the attention wherever she goes.

I am really angry when Precious bites. It is difficult to control my anger and the time out is usually much longer than five minutes. I do tell her what a naughty (interpret that bad) bird she is.

How quickly this little girl has taken over! Isn't she just something else???

Progress for Gilda, but at a price for you! Did she rip your scalp? Rereading it sounds as if she got a beak full of hair; still painful!
