That's great news for Joey. What a lovely account of his flight Maggie - thanks for sharing with us.

Well it's preferable to the biting for sure!! Does he look at your hand and give it that "what do you want me to do with that?!!" look? At least it's progress, of a sort! Looking forward to the next installment.

After a couple of interesting stories coming forward in another recent post, I thought I'd share this and invite everyone to share any similar tales they may have. I got my dog from a rescue centre when she was 12 weeks old. One day when she was around 8 months old, she and I were cuddled up on the couch when I heard the cat meaowing to get in. Megan (my dog) was sitting beside me and I had another cat on my knee, (so obviously I couldn't get up and disturb her) so I said to Megan "go and let the cat in", in the same sort of way that I often ask her to go and put the kettle on! She took a look at me, paused for maybe a few seconds, then got up off the couch and went and opened the kitchen door and let the cat in. She was only a puppy really and had never opened the door before. I put this down to some form of telepathy, because while I don't neccesarily think she understood the words, she somehow tapped into the thoughts. I'd love to hear any other telepathy type stories if anyone has any. Megan xx

I never heard that before Stephen. It's lovely. Thanks.

{Feel-good-0002006E}{Feel-good-0002006E} Haha Jill - didn't get that at all!! Sorry Sheila - I misunderstood - I did think it odd that you would go in for that though! I've had an ex-racer too, and have also worked in a race yard, and no, they don't all have the best of life! After working there I know why my boy came to me all bitey and grumpy, but he turned out to be the sweetest horse absolutely full character! I just heard on the radio that 3 horses died at Aintree today.

It certainly was Lambert - a pine nut anyways! Greywings wrote: Lol - they sure do - Alfie actually has David mimicking her!!

Lol - will do Sheila - although I can only watch the re-run once I know all the horses got through it ok! Horses are certainly born to run, but not to jump apparantly - I once read somewhere that cows are more anatomically suited to jumping than horses! I do love to watch horses, but think once a course, such as the Grand National has claimed more than one equine life, it should be found only in the history books. Jmho! Have fun tomorrow though Sheila! It'll still make a good day out.

Lol funny Jill! I like the Happy parrot music, and the Parrot Dance! Alfie didn't think so much of it, she was neither up nor down! But I will def try her with it again! Thanks for this Jill!

Welcome back Bonnie. I remember you telling us about Akima. It's such a good thing you are doing to give his older brother a home. I'll bet you're dead excited to get him home! Be sure to keep us updated!

Some great vids. My heart would stop though everytime I let my bird go for a freefly like that!! And I just love Boozle - one of my YouTube faves!! Unrelated, I just though this was quite funny! Bad Bird!

My goodness - he is getting brave! And he must be fitting into your household beautifully if the dogs don't even bother to get up to investigate anymore!! Lol Jill - I think Harvey maybe got that book from Alfie!!

Thanks Jan - she's eating fine when she's on her stand, we haven't been out at teatime again yet, but we will be on Saturday night so we will see then. x

That's an excellent bit of video - dead funny around the 5.30 - mark! That'll be Rangi not backing down at 5.30? And then at 5.50 when he strutts his stuff! There's a funny bit at 5.55 when an Amazon doesn't look like he wants to join in with the big boys, and then a hand appears to try to get the second mac to step up, but he's obviously not finished playing yet!!  Priceless! Thanks for sharing this.

Oh dear Dee - sorry to hear about your little mishap - I'm sure you've been forgiven though  Sorry - I shouldn't laugh but when you said you've given in to his demands I couldn't help it - that probly sums us all up in a nutshell!! Hopefully Kopi will discover another, more diplomatic way of letting you know something displeases him!!

JillyBeanz wrote: Lol Jill - trust Harvey to be the one who got thrown out for eating the residents!!! I don't actually have a barn at the minute Jill - but it is kind of on my to do list for when we move - Alfie is getting her own secure garden and friends (and relatives) will be most welcome! Jane, sounds like the Mac may have met his match!

judygram wrote: I can't help it! I will try though. I always say worrying never did anybody any good! Dee I think that's it in a nutshell - Alfie does not like to dine alone. that's ok most of the time, but as you say, there may come a time when I have to be gone a little while, and then what? treats hidden in every corner of the cage!

Sorry to hear about you and your partner Chris. Sorrier still to hear you don't think Phoenix will have the best life now you're not there - I really hope he comes back to you. Good luck with your future.
