We had raised 16,000 before the tractors even left our house, and then there were buckets along the 29 mile route. So I think it was a good days work!
-
I saw those on the same site that I mentioned earlier. Is that a view of the bottom of the dish? The picture confused me. (Some might say that is easily done )

These are some pictures of my house this beautiful Sunday morning. This was a Vintage Tractor Run in aid of a childrens hospital, which started from my house and field ! These are my children and puppy Dot, and you can just see my house in the back. This is one of my fields. And another view of the front of my house. In all 116 vintage tractors took part. An amazing morning!

Would that be dating or bathing?? {Feel-good-0002006E}

Actually the ones in the pictures are exactly the ones I am using now. But she doesnt take the frame off the cage, she takes the bowl out of the frame! I asked in my local pet shop about the ones that acappella uses and he is looking to see can he get them for me. If not I will buy them from the UK. The new game hasnt stopped yet

Well done Laurie, you are doing great! I have never heard of welbutrin either, it mustnt be prescribed here. I had to go the old fashioned way. Yours sounds much more civilised! Keep up the good work!

MisterDavE wrote: Yep I know that feeling... bird poop EVERYWHERE! Honestly my friends must think I never clean my house, they just have no idea how much s**t comes out of 3 parrots !!!! I have my two greys officially in the dining/family room and the caique in the office. But the poop gets in every room in the house!

She's a beauty Heather. I am curious, when I got both of mine there were no more to choose from, so I would love to know how you decide which grey you want. How many did you have to choose from? How did you decide which one was for you? (apart from her obvious good looks )

That really looks like fun... although I think Hemmingway is about to escape!

Thanks guys! Its just her beak is big compared to Oisins but he is a baby still (not even 1 yet). Ok I can breathe again!! Cheers!
-
No I dont spray them at all. They hate it, but they dont seem to mind the bath. Well Liath doesnt, Oisin tolerates it reasonably well. I have no idea where to get the spray sorry. I am sure some other members can help you out in that department!

Oh my God! Poor Toni. It just goes to show you never know what tomorrow holds. Please tell Toni we are praying for her recovery. And that we hope to see her back here soon.

I have a question! I am looking at the picture of the overgrown beak and wondering, what is too long? Liaths beak looks a lot like the one shown. I cant see how her beak could be overgrown though, she chews chunks of wood at a ferocious pace and has a pumice perch. I have never had it filed or anything.

Good morning Emma, yes some people use aloe spray, undiluted straight from the bottle. I havent actually tried it though. I just dunk my birds whenever they seem to be itching which is usually about twice a week. Oisin is a very messy eater so he sometimes gets a quick wipe with a wet towel as well. (I still have to figure out how he gets mashed veggies on the BACK of his head )

Hi Laurie WELL DONE GIRL!!! I am so proud of you. This time you can do it. My best tip to you today is dont think about the rest of your life not smoking because I know that really scared me, but think about not smoking the next ciggie. If you put off smoking the next cigarrette indefinitely you will be a non smoker!! Funkygirl, your quit date is only a couple of weeks away now isnt it? How are you holding up? Still set for the 11th?

Hi Thomas, welcome to the forum. As you can probably tell from the name, I am also from Ireland! There are a few of us now:) I have to say I am with the wife on the lizard front, I never could understand the attraction  But she will definitely come round to loving your grey. My husband ended up getting one of his own after a year of watching Liath!
-
Hi Tina, and welcome. That's a bit annoying isnt it? Izzy obviously hasnt figured out which side his bread is buttered yet! But it is very early days, and the fact that he likes a woman means all is not lost. With a bit of perseverance I am sure he will come round Congratulations on your new little (or is it big) boy!!!

Hi Magicalem, Honestly I have no idea what prompts my birds to say what they do. Some phrases I have tried to "teach" them and they still cant say and some phrases I dont remember even saying to them and they repeat all the time. Every single day for the past 2 years I have said Good morning to Liath - she doesnt say it, but I dont remember saying "What's the story Liath" and that is her favourite expression at the moment. Oisin says Howaya ("How are you" in a thick Irish accent) which none of us say. He must have heard it from a visitor and liked the sound of it! The only tip I have for you is to talk to them all the time, and hold conversations. Answer them when they talk mumbles pretending you know what they are saying. They love the interaction and will keep talking to you! By the way, why dont you introduce yourself and your grey in the welcome room?

Joe, it was supposed to be HOT!!! But thank you for the karma sending some back to you!

Thats a very good point, Talon. I didnt even think of the cleaning aspect of it. I am going to try out acappellas idea of the dishes that lock. She is chucking her food dish now too. I suppose I'd best get them for Oisin too, as he will probably start at some stage as well. Casper, Charlie lies in the food dish? Is it soft or something.... hilarious!!! Arent they just little devils!!!

Honestly they are like children Liath loves to feed our puppy. She takes a slice of bread and shreds it flinging little pieces all over the room and laughs as the puppy chases them
-
Thank you accapella... this looks a bit like it doesnt it? And its not too expensive! http://www.24parrot.com/Crock-Lock--295ml--3-Colours-P4291a/ Brilliant!

I have been doing some online shopping this evening pricing those crock pots. So far the last water I gave her has stayed. Mind you she has been out for the past few hours and now she is sleeping!! My greys havent learned how to use the water bottles Honestly, she really likes to keep me guessing
