LOL that is cute! Have any pics of them all? That would be great to see!
-
LOL Yes sorry not so sure this would be the place. But good luck!
-
No Tin you don't have a weird grey lol. SweetHeart won't eat people food! There isn't one thing really that I have found that she loves! I have tried chips lol and she throws them to the dogs! The dogs on the other hand love her!
-
Well my husband did it with our 12 year old Quaker, but much smaller beak lol. It did take him a little work. He got her used to being on her back like Joe said and than just started here recently when he saw Joe and his video lol. She isn't 100% used to it yet but she's getting there. Me unfortunately I am not trying this just yet with SweetHeart lol. We are just learning that scratches to the neck actually feel good lol

Wow I never thought of the fresh fruit being that way Tin, thank goodness we are here in the country. I know our trees will be loved by our birds this year! I don't even really eat fruit lol. But we have blackberries, apples, pears, plums, peaches and Jessie puts in a big garden every year. So we are good on the fresh stuff lol. And we can everything, we don't freeze it. I never thought of the fact that they will benefit from our garden and stuff as well.

Jeez yes with your flock it would cost ya a bit! Go check it out girl! I need to make some of them in there, they have some good recipes!

It's 6:43 am here in WV. Getting kids up for school! Hubby has the day off today! It is raining and it looks like it's going to be an all day event! So good day to head back to bed for a bit! Hope everyone has a good day. I had my little doggies fixed yesterday and the poor things just aren't themselves yet! But good day to all! And Tiff, I know all too well about something being put in my drink. I have a major horror story that would frighten any woman let me tell ya. I can't stress enough for everyone to be careful. Luckily I outgrew that stage of going out and partying every week. Now we are lucky if it's once a year lol. We mainly just have cookouts and bonfires up here now lol. We are getting old. But it's nice!

Yes there are always good recipes in Italian food! lol Good job Joe! I'm glad I wasn't on here or I would have had to share the family recipe lol. I have tweeked mom's recipe though  But Joe is great! He is very good in the kitchen and good with his birds! Love ya Joe! I'll give ya an Italian kiss, kiss on each cheek!

Thank you soo much Spooky! SweetHeart is young still and I don't think it would take too long for her to like another bird because for one she was raised with a whole bunch of other birds including macaws and other grey's so I know she loves other birds. But again just hope that maybe there is a way that she can still keep Lulu, but that is awefully cute! Lulu she would fit here in the country very well! lol I just hope you find what is best for you! That's all we can do on this end and give you as much support as we can.

I'm very sorry to hear that! I will keep you and your husband in my thoughts as well. I was looking for another Grey and if you were to ever decide to get rid of her, please contact me. I am home all the time and we have a good family here that could give lots of love! But I hope you can somehow find a way to keep her! That has to be hard on you! Good Luck with your choices and I hope it turns out for the good!

No problem love to make everyone smile! Or wet themselves lmao! That is a good one Tiff, I have that one saved in my mail folder as well! An Illinois man left the snow-filled streets of Chicago for a vacation in Florida. His wife was on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day. When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his wife a quick email. Unable to find the scrap of paper on which he had written her email address, he did his best to type it in from memory. Unfortunately, he missed one letter and his note was directed instead to an elderly preacher's wife, whose husband had passed away only the day before. When the grieving widow checked her email, she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing scream and fell to the floor in a dead faint. At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen: DEAREST WIFE: JUST GOT CHECKED IN. EVERYTHING PREPARED FOR YOUR ARRIVAL TOMORROW. P.S. SURE IS HOT DOWN HERE.

There was actually a member too if I remember correctly that his Grey died because of garlic. I know that Clausen's pickles have a good bit of garlic in them. I don't want to scare anyone at all. Just I found that to be very interesting, cause for one I was raised by a 100% Italian and we use a bunch of garlic! So I was very glad to have read that on here.

How cute Terri! And the little neck rub! Ohh I just want to hug them!!! I am wanting more birds now instead of our 3rd child we were thinking about lmao.
-
Oh my! No we love love love pictures!! I want to see a little wet Grey!!! Bring them on!

Yes I agree with Berna, the flight feathers can take anywhere from 3 months on some birds to a year with others. So you may just have to wait a little bit, but when they grow in look out lol. He'll have to learn to fly. Keep us updated and introduce yourself as Judy said in our Welcome room and tell us if you have any more fids!
-
LOL Wendy that is soo cute! Sounds like he was just playing around. Just hopefully he doesn't get too rough lol
-
Yes I have spoken to many breeders about that myth and they all say the same thing Tracy, that if they are well socialized when young that they should at least go to everyone even if they have a stronger bond with one. As for the extra $50 that really isn't bad, but like Tracy said, if you can go and visit them and almost see which one has a bond with YOU I would go with that. I didn't get to pick nor did SweetHeart get to pick me, so we have been working on our love for 4 months now lol. I think I finally made her love me though lol. But if you can let one chose you, that is the best way to go!
-
Thanks Wendy, of course that's not my little gal yet! but the way i dance around the house while I'm cleaning, I'm sure she'll pick some up lol. Here is my site that I posted 4 videos of our babies! Well one is a baby and sweetheart is 9 months and molly 12 years. But if anyone hasn't seen them already here ya go. There is 4 total videos on there. http://youtube.com/user/Ronda477

Yes Judy! I hope everything goes well! Where are we going to meet, I read that you don't eat fast food lol. So where would you like to meet up at? I can't wait! I may have to take my kids with me though lol. Jessie gets off of work at 2 and I have to pick him up at work. But hopefully your son and his family are feeling better!
-
LMAO! I haven't been on here yet today! Jeesh! lol But yes, Janice told me last night that he is picking at his pellets, he has eaten a little of some veggies and he stood on his perch for the very first time without falling off! I am very proud of him!! Sorry though, I just took my doggies to the vet to get fixed!!!! I haven't been here. The vet told me how obese my chihuahua is! lol. I told him I didn't know what to do, she has a chihuahua head and the Dotson body what was I suppose to do? lol They never get people food! Oh well, she's just fat like her mama! lol But yes I am very very proud of Casper! I can't wait to get him!!!!
-
Thank you Siobha! And it's a boy Tiffani!!!!! YEH! We are naming him Casper!
-
Sorry Beccy I can't help you out either being that I live here in the states, but you do bring up a good point and was wondering where others like myself even go to find where they have bird shows and such. Thanks!

Angie that was a great site! I have two children ages 12 & soon to be 9. We have also been throwing the idea around of maybe a third child?? But I don't understand why parents would get rid of their beloved birdy family! It does make me mad, cause if you teach your child right from the beginning they can help in soo many ways! And not to mention that all takes time! And a whole lot of patience! It does upset me as well that people would just give a bird away that they have spent soo much time with. Well hopefully they have. Their are some out there that just think it's pretty and get one and don't do their homework to see how much noise they make, if it will wake up the baby or not. And honestly you make noise when a baby is sleeping, there are a bunch of parents that tip toe around lol, but if the baby gets used to the regular every day noises they will be much better sleepers. But back to our birds. I just don't agree. I think if you put in the time, you can have one big happy family! But just my opinion!

There is this stuff called "Goof off" Now you will have to take Brian out of the room but it works sooooo well!
