I am with others on this one. Get a clear diagnosis from the avian vet you need to know exactly what is wrong.As Tycos_mom has said if its an infection that should clear with a course of antibiotics. Was your baby fully weaned when you got her ? Are you giving a hand feed ? Are any of the clutch mates ill ? Keeping any kind of birds there is always going to be money issues, you will need to consider medical insurance or have a seperate saving account for vet fees etc.. none of us know if or when are birds will be ill but we all need some money put by

Checking the pelvic bones should only be carried out by someone with experience & knows what that are doing.You could harm your bird if you are not sure what you are actually feeling for.Some young males have wide pelvic bones which will gradually grow closer. Some young females have narrow pelvic bones which will spread during the process of egg laying.I also read that immature birds have wider pelvic bones.So i would say the only sure way to determine sex is DNA.

pomegranate's are a big favourite, My three greys love them.I cut them into chunks & feed them or you can take all the pips out they are perfectly safe.

I'm not sure if greys can distinguish between adults & children , but it is good they have a relationship but as greys get older they can have mood swings,be stubborn even slightly unpredictable, please supervise your daughter at all times.

Hi sounds as if you have purchased some sprouting seeds.You are correct they are very nutrional to our greys.i will do a step by step guide on how i sprout mine. Rinse some seeds in cold water. Soak overnight in cold water. in the morning rinse them agin in a colinder with running water. Spread them out on a damp paper towel leave them somewhere warm,check on them & if they feel a little dry rinse them again. within the next 24 hours they should start to sprout,You can leave them a little longer if not many have sprouted. Feed some to your grey,the leftover ones can be kept in the refrigerator as they keep for a few days & continue to sprout. You will get the hang of it if it doesnt work the first time, have another go hope this helps.

As judy says cook the pumpkin first, you can mash it perhaps with some other fruit, or make a pumpkin bread ? Roast the seeds many birds love them.

Hi Connie i'm with BMustee on this one.If they are not preening,feeding eachother etc they are not a true bonded pair.It sounds as if they have accepted that there is two of them but they tolerate one & other.Many greys are very territorial over there cage, i would advise keeping them caged seperately.
