  2. Thanks guys, we need a few more votes please guy & girls
  3. We are not in the position to judge your breeder, You alone have to go with your heart,It may well have been a terrible accident these things do happen.Take a few days out to get over this & perhaps start a searh for a new grey.(( hugs ))
  4. I love my job here to Judy You are not alone
  5. Heres a few ideas.. If you pull your hand away and yell, then your parrot gets a reaction out of you and will try again to get the same reaction. They think it's a game, try & show no reaction to him,try to distract him when you can see that he's going to bite, you can gently wobble your hand if he is on you this works well for me.I also have a clicker ( like some people use for dog training! ) if mine go to nip i click on the clicker & say a firm No in a strong voice, the clicker distracts them,or have a toy handy they he can play with. Some people use time out, if your parrot bites you simply return him to his cage for 5 minutes & walk away from him & say nothing. Then let him out as normal, back to the cage if he bites & again dont respond to him.
  6. Congratulations on Kenny, Chelsea household here
  7. Dan my two boys were started on a seed diet along with the fruit & veg etc.. I too struggle to get them to eat pellets.I think many UK breeders prefer a seed diet, they are not advocates of pellets.Any uk breeders, care to commit ?
  8. {Feel-good-0002006E} Hope you had a safe walk Dan
  9. I'll Slap you with a wet fish (((( Slap ))))
  10. Loviechick makes a good point, many people buy a grey because they are known for their talking abilities, but bear in mind Some greys may never talk. Talking shouldn't be a consideration when wanting to own a bird,if they do learn to mimic speech then this is an added bonus.
  11. As Dan says you may have to make a vet's appointment & take along a poop sample
  12. Dan i had a little search & in general from what i can tell cataracts seem to be more common in older birds generally a sign of old age.Hopefully someone can fill us in a little more.
