1. This topic has come up before and the bottom line is, it is dependent upon the Greys personality. No one can say what the outcome will be, until they have been around each other a while. The possible outcomes are: 1) If opposite sexes, they could "pair up" at some point and you would become the outsider. 2) If opposite sexes, they could "pair up" at some point and you would just become a little less appreciated than before. 3) They could just be friends and get along with each other and maintain their ultimate love for you as their "cuddle Muffin" 3) They could be friends, preening, playing and desiring to be together more than with you. 4) They could "Hate" each other and only be allowed out at separate times or far away from one another. The bottom line is, there is no absolute in this matter. If people try to tell you one thing or another will happen 100% of the time. They have let old wives tales fill their mind with rubbish and you can tell them "DanMcQ" called them morons. B)

Post edited by: danmcq, at: 2008/03/20 13:55
2. Nekkyousha is right on the money with her facts regarding a "Cameroon" species. It is stated in several articles and studies that the CAG species is larger or a little smaller depending on which area of Africa they are from i.e coastal with a seemingly larger abundance of food versus the sparser in-lands areas where they must search more for the fewer foods available. Louisejane - you can call him what you like, as long as it's not FAT :-) Then he might get an attitude. B)
3. Welcome Jonathan!!! Looking forward to hearin gmore about you Baby CAG thats soon to come home and seeing more photos. :-)

9. It's day two and she's already showing progress in getting familiar to her new environment and flock. Slow and easy is the only way to take this. If she steps up on to a stick, that is "Step Up", it just getting her to trust your hand and that probably won't take long from the progress she is already showing. :-)
10. LOL marlene and Judy, this is so true. I can not count the things we let our Grey do, that our children would have had a shortened life span for. :-)

13. They should be quarantined for 45 Days, as the topic Tracy posted will confirm. You certainly do not want to risk your Greys health by bringing in the finchs.

21. Yes, the pet insurance companies are notorious for being very vague in their policies, exceptions and maximum $$$ per year allowed. Every company is different, so it's up to you to read and interpret it. If you find they are in error, relentlessly go after them to re-evaluate their determination. Not much else I have in the way of information or suggestions Steve. Why don't you introduce yourself in the Welcome Room? It's great to have you here and we look forward to hearing more from you. :-)
22. Oh Makena - I feel for your apprehension. It is probably a combination of molting and anxiety over the absence of Andrew. Hopefully this will pass when the molt is finished and all new shiny feathers are back in. One thing to perhaps help. Ensure he is getting Red Palm oil regularly and misted with Aloe to keep the skin supple and as un-irritated as possible. :-)
23. One thing I ALWAYS forget to do, is to mist the tray BEFORE I slide it out and start heading to the door with it....Feathers flying everywhere and Kim YELLING ...YOU FORGOT TO MIST IT.... AGAIN..... YOU VACUUM UP THE MESS!!!! UGH:pinch: No respect ;-) So mist before you pull the tray, it helps tons in keeping the feathers from flying everywhere. :-)
24. Beep Beep, how fnny Nychsa!! Reminds my of the little car from years ago song..beep beep, beep beep, beep beep beep beep....B)
