  1. Ditto Judy and great investigative work Nychsa!! Ungrateful Americans is not a terminology that we use to describe our discontent with one another. It sounds more like cobimoore is upset because the scam was revealed instantly by us.... Talon - Great idea to leave this as a shining example of a scammer!! :-)
  2. Awwww Nekkyousha, thats is a cute baby story. I love them!! They are so much like a little human child, aren't they? :-) Thanks for sharing that!!
  3. It does sound like a molt and from reading the increase in posts regarding this, plus my Grey Dayo starting to Molt around 3 weeks ago, seems it's that time for many of them. As LMG described, I had downy feathers everywhere each time I dumped the Tray and now it is progressing to larger head, neck and shoulder feathers. I can also feel many prickly tiny new feathers coming that he loves scratched. :-)
  4. Welcome barb!! What a wonderful story of your new, but familiar Grey. It is great to hear that the two of you were seemingly destined to be together and knew each other for most of Keenas life. It's is heart warming to see a family that knew the commitment and responsibility of owning and caring for a creature with a life span of 50+ years. Many do not consider this and therefore the Grey ends up in a rescue when something happens to the original owners, I am looking forward to hearing the many stories you will have to tell and more photos of Keena. :-)
  5. Welcome Eva!! Good luck in you search. This is the time of year that many breeders have Greys sitting on eggs. You timing is impeccable and you should be able to find a Grey "Egg" just waiting to be hatched relatively close. :-)
  6. Welcome Lupa!! Congratulations on the purchase of Lupa and experiencing "Love at first sight" with a Grey. :-) Looking forward to hearng more and seeing those photos!!
  7. Attention Men ;-) 9 WORDS WOMEN USE (1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up. (2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house. (3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine. (4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It! (5) Loud Sigh: This is actually not a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.) (6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake. (7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' ... that will bring on a 'whatever'). (8) Whatever: Is a women's way of saying UPYOURS! (9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3. * Send this to the men you know to warn them about arguments they can avoid if they remember the terminology.

    biting.

Aw, that's sad Casper. Do you think Dorian is perhaps a little depressed, since he lost the ability to fly and therefore does not see the joy in coming out of his Cage? Maybe as others said, showing your love and most importantly be happy for him. They really pick up on our emotions and if your happy, it will rub off on him sooner or later if you seem joyful, play with his toys and talk with an excited voice. Hopefully this will pass shortly. :-)
  10. LOL Acapella - Teach him to say "Kill Bill".
  11. I'm with the others, PM and then delete if you don't get a response Talon.
  12. Thats good progress Rickster!! It sounds like your going to have Chico upside down from your fingers in no time. :-)

Man Tracy, I can't believe you went even 1 day with out a PC and being able to connect to all of your best friends here. :-) Glad you got that sorted out and are again posting at the speed of light. B)
  14. Thanks for the Stephen King Novel news Laurie...I'm so on it!! :-) Tracy - Then you need to get Bill Clintons book, if you haven't already. I wouldn't get it, but hey, I don't like the guy or his wife.
  15. Mad Max, what a great description Can't wait to hear more of his antics!! :-) Friendship request is on the way.
  16. Well congratulations on the test and welcome back. You were missed!! :-)
  17. Well since I am Scottish (with a last name of McQ????), I sure theres some Irish in me veins from some fling in the past ;-) Happy Saint Patricks Day!!!
  18. Thanks Dave and great to see you post here again!! Do visit more often!!! :-)
  19. OUCH!! Jesus siobha9 , are you kidding me? Pen in the eye and scalding water from the Teapot?? You could have eye damage and the other that got scalded has some blisters today, I would imagine. How are you and your scalded family member today?
  20. LOL siobha9, I loved that letter!! :-) VERY funny!!!
  21. Oh Judy, as others said, one pound is nothing. That's 2 glasses of water. With your illness, your not burning off any fluids even from much movement, I'm sure. You hang in there, you've been doing great and knowing how you keep your sights focused, you'll be back on-track in no time, once your feeling better. :-)
  22. Thats good advice Fletcher. :-) As others have said, slow and easy on this one. Just keep trying it everyday, or perhaps, if your Grey is sitting on your lap for example at night snuggling where they feel completely safe and secure. Just slowly try rolling your Grey over on it's back. Then it will naturally flail it's feet to right itself. Place your finger(s) in his feet and gently lift up. They will hang upside down just suspended from your finger(s) and let them be able to lightly touch your leg or Arm underneath with their beak, so they know they can get down easily and safely. This is how we got Dayo conditioned to laying on his back and hanging upside down from our hands. Hope this helps. :-)

    Aloe

OUCH Berna!!! Is your eye ok? Damn, I can not imagine waking up to a Grey hanging on for life to my Eyelid. How is your eye doing and did you ever get a respoonse out of the Walmart eye department? Marlene - Aloe Juice is wonderful for misting your Grey. The plants themselves, you can clip a leaf off and drip or smudge the gel like fluid onto irritated areas on your Grey or on yourself for that matter. It is very soothing, as I'm sure you know.
  24. Congratulations Knight!! That is a wonderful slide-show of your new baby Grey. It looks like you either gave him a shower or he jumped in the water soemwhere on his own Thanks for sharing this. We are anxious awaiting to hear more news on your new Grey!! :-)
  25. Very sad to hear of the loss of Tonto Falconeer. :-) It sounds like you have taken it in stride though, since you are now handfeeding a new baby Grey. I am sure Tonto will always have footprints on your heart though, as he does on ours.
