Yes, something scared the heck out of them. B)

Dayo started mumbling at 7 Months and said his first clear "Hello" at 10 months. He does do sound effect great and has been since 5 months. He recently picked up a very loud gun shot sound. We just had our windows all replaced with dual pane low-e glass and they used a nail gun BANG, BANG, BANG. Now, Dayo does that when he wants attention, I guess due to the real GUN getting his :laugh:

That's good news Sam. Since he just got there today and experienced quite a shock to his system from the travel, it actually sounds like he is handling it well. :-) That good news is he is healthy and finally reached the home that loves him and will provide a great and enriched environment for him to flourish in. Yes Gloria, Dayo used to actually push his head under the cup of your hand or if you were laying on the floor or couch, he would walk up and want to take shelter under your Arm. But, his favorite is having his head gently cupped over by your hand. This is normally in the evenings now as others have said, During the day, he is just to busy playing and getting his "Mojo" on for the cuddle stuff. :-)

Thats good news on Dusty, Jag. Your letting him fledge properly to build confidence and a good sense of balance is wise of you. Looking forward to hearing more as Dusty starts his antics. :-)

Hello and welcome dolphinlove Since He is 15 years old and not used to being out of the cage. That tells you immediately that he has not been closely interacted at with probably for years depending on his previous owners. The first thing you need to establish with him ,is trust. The second thing you need to do, is let him settle in and get used to his new surroundings and the family members and pets that reside there. Once he is calm and allows you to feed and water him with no growls or nips and starts accepting treats from your hand, our making big progress. Do you know much of the history on this Grey? It would be very helpful in determining more specific advice and suggestions to you. :-)

If you have visited and interacted with this baby Grey and hit it off well, then go for it. As long as this is a life long committment to care for and love this little guy. :-)
