Fish

Right now I have 5 1g jars. 1 75g with four goldfish and a 30g with who knows how many guppies. Can't count them to many babies.
3. Mine says only a few things that I know of. She hates talking when I am in the room. But I have heard a few things. What you doing. Pretty Puppy (grooming shop I use to work at) hello Bobby (this is new) Pretty bird Good bird Your so pretty I'm sure there are other things after all she is a grey but being a closet talker means I have no clue. She also beeps and rings. lol
4. I love Betta fish. I have five. lol Wish I could get more but out of room for all those little 1g jars. Anyone else keep Betta's? Here is a picture of my newest one. His name is Moonstone he is my first crowntail.
5. Oh I forgot. try the picnic game. You and your new bird get on a blanket on the floor with a few toys and her fave treat. Keep the stuff close to you or even the food in your lap let her come to you. Sit by the cage and read a book. Use funny voices. Birds love drama. Sit by the cage and eat. Giving her tiny bits when she can't stand it no more. You know when she is doing all she can to get to you or your food. (make sure you have something on the plate she can have.) lol Do you have a sit down hobby? I sit next to my greys cage when I crochet. I alway have treats ready for when she comes down to check out what I am doing. I well also sing and talk to her. We still do this even thought I have had her over 8 years. Sing to her. Tell her jokes. Most of all relax give it time it won't happen over night. Post edited by: Tari, at: 2007/08/15 15:44

Post edited by: Tari, at: 2007/08/15 15:46
6. It is still early. Give it time. Find out what her fave food is and stop feeding it. Only let her have it when she is with you not your husband. I would bring the other bird home. I dont believe that has anything to do with it. Many of us have several birds and still bond with our greys so just bring him back home. If the calls bother you try turning on a TV or Radio. Your husband should not play with or interact with the new bird until you have extrablished a relationship. Once again it can take a whole lot longer then a few weeks to build trust with any bird give it time. Calm down and enjoy your baby for who he is and not who you expect him to be. Someone well come along with some other tips. Good Luck
7. How about a smaller couch instead? But I do agree maybe get the cage long beofore you move or the other eay around wait till you have been in the new place a month or so even if she has to be in the middle of th living room before tring to move her to the new cage. Then sit the cage next to the cage she normally stays in and start moving toys one day at a time and have food and water in the new cage. It can take a couple weeks before your grey well move cages but needs to be done very slowly.

Your dream comes true but you fall off that mountain and die. I wish to live deep deep deep in the forest and still have internet. lol
10. My breeder pair live outside but they get use to the temps cause they have been there all year. I have not taken Topaz out in this weather except late evening and early morning and even then I worry. Even birds that are use to it need to be in the shade and have moving air. And they drink lots of water.
11. I would take your new birds in for a bird check up. Also if it is as hot where you live as where I live you need to take measures to keep your birds from over heating. A fan with a block of ice in front of it at all times is one way to do this.

15. Ive seen a tshirt somewhere with bird poop on it that you can buy. Says something about bird walking all over them. Let me see if I can find that. Not the one I was thinking about but still cute. http://www.cafepress.com/buy/parrot+poop/-/pv_design_details/pg_1/id_15633948/opt_/fpt_/c_360/

Post edited by: Tari, at: 2007/08/13 02:17
16. I did a feather test on mine. You can get the kits from several places on line. I did not get a certificate with mine so it only cost 5 bucks but that was like almost 8 years ago. Great looking grey hope we get lots of pictures.

All the oceans dry up. I wish I was a bird vet.
18. wow how lucky are you. I would love to see quakers in the wild. When my Dad goes to see his girlfriend in California there are parrots (mostly amazons from the description he gives) that wake him up in the morning. They are in her avocado trees. Wish is strange since they shouldn't eat them.
19. I like the swap idea very much. Might could swap my feather teather for something more usefull. lol
20. I have two really. Accept Jesus and my lord and savior and seeing his work in me and around me when I had my liver transplants that my doctor told me I had no medical reason to be alive.

You find total happeness to be boring and start a life of crime. I want an electic car.
22. This well close today so if you have not voted please get your vote in today.
23. I completely understand where you are coming from. However Grey's should be allowed to fly and learn to land before they are clipped. I even allow my quakers some flying while young before I do a slight clip they can still fly just not get high. Mine however is clipped.
