Frozen vegetable are fine, sometimes they are considered more nutritious than fresh because they are frozen directly from the field unlike fresh which may be days in transit.
  2. Men lift their leg so the fart can be expelled with much glory, all while grinning from ear to ear while they hold their breath for obvious reasons.
  3. No phobias but I know someone else who has the same phobia about spiders, she would make a new door if she saw one in the room with her. Now I know your weaknesses Caroline, nah I wouldn't do that. B)
  4. Women don't fart, they fluff:blush: {Emotions-00020070}
  5. Glad this has worked for you, Josey was already eating pellets when I brought her home and she continues to eat them every day.
  6. Yeah right:whistle:
  7. Josey can do that too but she didn't learn it from me, I can thank my hubby for that, yes it does make for interesting conversation.:woohoo:
  8. If you want her to stay on her playstand or the cage and she climbs or flies down then you will just have to keep putting her back so she eventually gets the message that she is to stay there but you may have to do it many many times before she does learn.
  9. Faisal, I am not a vet and it looks like you may need to consult one about this amazon, even if you cannot get an appointment today you can at least call one to get some advice. Keeping him warm is good. Maybe one of the more experienced members will have some better advice than I have.
  10. I would make your house smoke free, grey's respiratory systems are more sensitive to smoke than ours, they could go outside to smoke but I wouldn't allow it in my house. Better to be safe than sorry.
  11. Nice cage Pynk, love that color and he looks so nice inside it, some toys and a couple of perches and its good to go, thanks for sharing it with us.
  12. I know exactly what you are talking about, unless they love birds they just don't understand how we feel about our birds, they are family, some people feel that way about their dogs and cats and us bird people feel that way about our birds. You know you can always come here and be with like minded people, tell us what you think and ask questions and share stories with us for we completely understand how your mind works. We are nuts for our greys and only other grey nuts know how we feel, you are in good company. Some of my best friends are here on this forum and I know I can count on them for anything and they me.
  13. Send some of that warm weather my way as well, we are having a frigid spell here right now and that warmth would feel real good about now. That cage does look a little small for a grey, he would appreciate a bigger cage so he would have more room to stretch his wings and flap without hitting the sides but introduce it slowly so it does not frighten him.
  14. That is so sweet to hear those magical words, "I love you" bet you are on cloud nine at the moment. Merlin is really coming into his own element now that his fright is behind him and they do chatter away when they get going, I know Josey does, she can be very quiet for a while then another session will start. Merlin is turning into quite a character, now you will have to work on kissing the beak without the bars being in the way, Josey lets me do that.B)
  15. Some greys like it beside or in front of a window and some don't, they may see other birds outside or things they perceive as threats and that may be why Bill is screeching, he may think he is in some danger. Are there any other indications that his screeeching may be fear related? I have a sun conure that does not like being too near a window for every thing that moves outside especially up in the sky she reacts in fear, she sees it as a threat to her life.
  16. Greys adapt very easily to missing toes and if they are hatched that way or it happens in the first few weeks before they learn to perch then they do not know they are any different than other birds and they get along fine without them.
  17. All good things come to those who wait and believe me the wait will be worth it, I hope the baby is going to be fine and soon it will be home with you and then you can bombard us with pics and stories. B)
  18. He may have been missing this since he was hatched and sometimes I hear that the parents will sometimes chew a toe or two off, why I don't know but it happens. I wouldn't worry about it since he probably doesn't even know its missing and I doubt it hinders him in the least in getting around. As long as he is otherwise happy and healthy he is fine, forget about it.
  19. I hope and pray that the test comes back negative Steph, your poor baby has already been thru so much already. Dave is so wonderful to provide us with this information, many thanks to you Dave and we love you here at least I know I do.
  20. You will love the bird fair if it is anything like what I have been to, you will see all kinds of birds, toys, foods, cages, perches and just about anything else bird related, you will think you have died and gone to heaven, be sure to take some money with you for you will want to buy lots of stuff and you will probably find some good deals too. Happy hunting.
  21. This is really a heartbreaker situation, on one hand she has a grey she found and is falling for more every day she has it and I hope she gets to keep it but then on the other hand there must be someone out there that has lost their grey and they are so sad for not having found it that I would like for them to be able to get it back. Someone is going to end up with a broken heart one way or the other but if the owner is meant to have this bird then they will find it. You are doing all you can to find this grey's owner but if that owner is not found then you give this grey a loving home for it looks like it came from one.
  22. Now isn't this a coincidence that we have the two people who are getting the two baby greys from the same breeder and same bird, small world sometimes isn't it. It will be interesting to see how this plays out but you two keep us informed as to the babies progress and I do hope the one you are getting Steph is going to be ok.
  23. Yeah, Toni is back and with a new game or two, yippee. Yes we did miss you very much and glad you are here to join your other family for a while until you are ready for that surgery. I don't blame you for postponing it a bit, a person has a limit on what they can endure and we know you have been thru a lot but you can count on us for support when you are ready. Now its time to get back to playing some games and having a little fun here on the forum with all my friends. Welcome back Toni, its good to see you on here.
  24. And that is a great feeling isn't it Margie, you should feel honored.
  25. Hello Oozie and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Bill. If the screeching started when you moved in October then it has to be connected in some way to the move or where he is now that you have moved. Something is either bothering him or causing him to react this way. What do you do when he starts screeching? Do you ignore it or tell him to stop or do something that he is interpreting as encouragement to continue doing it? He may be getting some kind of reaction out of you when he does this and that only makes him do it all the more, if you want him to stop this you are going to have to ignore it and that may take time. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads and do ask questions if you have any and we will help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Bill you would like to share with us we would love to see him.
