  1. I like the name TinkerBell too and you are right the colors are reminescent of the little fairy, sounds nice as it rolls off the tongue.
  2. Koigi sounds like a wonderful grey, well socialized and gentle, my Josey does not bite either but she is not too friendly with other people, she is only 2 1/2 years old so maybe there is hope for her yet. She is warming up some to my hubby but does not want much to do with anyone else. I love Cockatoos but they are too needy for me.
  3. Hello Sarahsflock and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Sarah. Sorry to hear that Sarah is biting her feathers, sometimes I think that there are some greys destined to do that behavior and there is not a whole lot you can do about it but maybe this will not be the case here. This will probably take some time to figure this out as it may take a process of elimination to find the cause and toget her to stop. But do not draw attention to it when she does it for she may continue to do it for the reaction it gets from you. Just ignore it, I know that is hard to do but you don't want her thinking you are enjoying her doing it. You might find some answers and advice in our many threads so read thru them at your leisure and do ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. She is a beautiful grey from the pic you provided in your opening post and if you have some more you would like to share with us we would love to see them.
  4. Hello Eric and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Koigi. That is an unusual name but I like it. So I assume this grey is the only bird you have but have you had any other birds before? Do you own any other pets? Just a couple of questions to get to know you a little better. We have loads of useful information in our many threads so take some time and read thru them and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. I look forward to seeing some pictures of Koigi and I bet she is a beauty.
  5. Hello Rana and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us but wish it could be under happier circumstances as your baby Koki is sick. As you have found out she needs to be seen by an avian vet as soon as possible, her life depends on it and I hope she gets the help she needs and gets thru this with flying colors. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. If you have any other pictures of Koki you would like to share with us we would love to see them.
  6. Please keep us posted on your babies condition and what you find out from the vet and I hope your bird gets well.
  7. Well I'm glad to hear he has been seen by the vet and his sneezing is gone but it might take a while for the antibiotics to work but do keep a close eye on him and keep us informed Faisal.
  8. Aww, what a cutie and yes they do have to have adorable faces when having food all over them for like Lisa said they love to fling it all over the place, but how could you be mad at that face, thanks Lisa for sharing a pic of Max with us.
  9. Wow and this is what I have to look forward to as I have a DNA'd female grey myself, thanks for letting us know what we are in for, those with females. I would definitely remove all play boxes while she is hyped up on her hormones. B)
  10. Those are really magnificient birds and they look so regal sitting there on that branch, thanks Shelia for sharing them with us.
  11. Hello Charliesgirl and welcome to the family, yes I said family for that is what we all feel like here to one another and you are part of that now and we look forward to hearing more about you and Charlie. Boy you do have your hands full with 5 kids and all young ones at that but be sure to keep those young fingers far from Charlie's reach as he could scar them for life if he chose. That was so wonderful that you could take Charlie when your Dad was ill but nowe you may not want to give him back, if and when it comes to that I hope you can work something out between you for Charlie's sake, I know you have come to love him a lot but remember your Dad loves him too. You can always have Charlie DNA'd to see if he is really a she or not but that is up to you but at least then you will know for sure. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads so read thru them at your leisure and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. I look forward to seeing some pics of Charlie when you can manage to get some posted for us to see.
  12. These "furniture" cages are very pretty but they don't offer the climbing opportunities that regular cages with all over bars have, they have solid front and back and only bars on the two sides so if the bird has to spend part of their day in one of those you would have to provide some other means of activity inducing items.
  13. Double Jeopardy - Ashley Judd
  14. That would be wonderful, we love birdie pictures here, can't you tell. B)
  15. Thanks Dave for answering this question for her and now her mind is eased. Charliesgirl, why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us some more about you and Charlie.
  16. Mr & Mrs Smith - Angelina Jolie
  17. Yes she is, very cute and I love her coloring, should be a nice addition to your flock.
  18. Twelve Monkeys - Bruce Willis
  19. Faisal I am glad that your amazon is better and do update us as soon as you find anything out, keep him warm and take good care of him, hope to hear from you soon.
  20. Thats pretty amazing for 7 months;) B)
  21. Thanks Lisa for giving us the information on this cookbook, I didn't know it existed but a copy might end up on my shelf, you give it a very good recommendation.
  22. Two weeks is nothing, will fly by in no time, thanks for sharing the pic with us.
  23. Now that would be hilarious to see her lift her leg while making that sound, I would have been rolling around on the floor laughing so hard I would pee my pants. I can't wait to see this video of her playing a tune, hurry up and teach her how.
  24. LindaMary wrote: Yes you do Linda, you know exactly:whistle: :woohoo:
