  4. You heard the woman, enter as many as you want, we are going to get some good ideas here with this contest, hey thats really why you are doing this too huh, smart woman, you got my vote!!
  5. That swing is a toy, you have embellished it with things to make it a toy, now whether you can enter more than one remains to be seen, Penny you need to clarify for us.
  6. Oh good as I can always use some karma!!!
  7. Gosh its been awhile since we have had any kind of contest but this should be a good one, I might even enter something myself even though I am not very creative. Allright all you members who have been making some toys for your greys lets get busy and make some thingamajigs and whatchamacallits. Hey, is there any prize for the winner?
  8. Those are some nice pictures of Bobby, looks like he is very proud of his toy in that last pic, a fine looking specimen, thanks for sharing them with us.
  9. Hello Jessi and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Meko. You do have a fine looking grey, it looks very healthy and full feathered, someone took very good care of this bird before you came to get it. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads so do read thru them at your leisure and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can.
  10. There is no stopping her now Pat, seems like she grew up overnight but it has been one heck of a ride hasn't it!!
  11. I don't remember which thread it was in but it seems to me I heard about some kind of paint that does not have toxic fumes and is safe to use when you have birds in the house. Maybe one of the members will remember about it and chime in with the info.
  12. Your babies are very cute and precious, too bad they don't stay that way but we enjoy them while they are little, thanks for sharing them with us.
  13. She sure is beautiful and enjoying the sun outside, thanks for sharing them with us.
  14. You have a beautiful grey, Meko is so handsome and he sure is a fine addition to your household. Your quaker is cute too, thanks for sharing both with us.
  15. He doesn't look so cute to me at this age, maybe when he gets all of his feathers he will. I don't know much about caiques either but give him a little more time and see if he settles down some, if not give the breeder a call and find out about him. In any case thanks for sharing the little bugger with us.
  16. Adaya has a pink belly, thats cute, thanks for sharing that with us Pat.
  17. Hello Talkalot and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your flock. I hope Dave has helped you with your 5 month old grey, he has many years of experience with greys and knows what he is talking about, he is an invaluable resource. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We love pictures here so if you have some of your flock you would share with us we would love to see them.
  18. Sam is not going to be as interested in playing with toys at his age, like you said he is content just watching you do things around the house and climbing around his cage. Do you provide any foraging toys or items for him to have to work at to get to the treat inside?
  19. What a great idea for a toy but I never go to Mcdonalds or any fast food joint anymore to get those cartons but Chimay is enjoying it a lot, thanks for sharing that idea with us.
  20. Yep you got a cutie all right, they are so adorable at this age, thanks for sharing the little fuzzball with us.
  21. Thats a little sweetheart all right, May won't get here soon enough will it Melissa, thanks for sharing that pic with us.
  22. I don't know much about those lights but to cause sunburn on your grey is not good, not good at all, either you have them too close or leaving them on for too long a period of time. I've been told that if you can take them outside for a short period of time either every day or every couple of days thats enough for them to get the benefit they need.
  23. I'm glad you took your baby in to see the vet for the crop infection was picked up, Idon't know what causes it but at least now he can be treated for it. Keep us informed of how he does in the next few days. Willis huh, is that after Bruce Willis maybe?
  24. Please accept my condolences on your loss of Sirocco, you did all you could to help him but it just wasn't meant to be but he is free of pain now and flying over the Rainbow Bridge.
  25. Hello Melinda and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and maybe a grey for you. I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your precious conure and I can see that is probably him/her in the picture in your avatar snuggling up to your neck. Have you done your research to make sure a grey is a right fit for you and your lifestyle, they require a certain amount of time and attention and if they don't get it they develop unwanted behaviors. Let me make this point about being a part of the handfeeding, it is not necessary to participate in the handfeeding to bond with your grey. When you actually bring your weaned baby home and it becomes comfortable there and it comes to trust you then it is bonded with you. It will be helpful if you live close enough to the breeder that you can visit with your baby so it comes to know you a little before it comes home with you. You can do a search for breeders in your area by going to this site and looking by state www.avianbiotech.com You will find lots of useful information in our many threads so do read thru them at your leisure and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can.
