1. Oh yeah, thats the spot, keep it going, almost got it now, yeah that feels good!!! Separate corners from now on for Gil and Phoenix but thats how it is sometimes, good you were close to break it up before any blood was shed, thanks for sharing those with us.
2. Have you considered allowing Kiki's wings to grow out and allow him/her to fly? A lot of us leave the flight feathers unclipped or are allowing them to grow out from a previous clip for we feel the birds are happier when allowed to fly. Maybe you have valid reasons for clipping but if not please at least consider it.
3. Not all greys will talk but most do, if Sam is going to talk then he will talk even if his cage is next to the cockatiels, he might pick up their tunes or whistling. Josey, my grey started out doing the wolf whistle but she ended up talking but she throws that wolf whistle in now and then.
4. Hello Pam and welcome to the family, so glad you found us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Kiki. You have quite a collection of pets, I am sure they keep you busy but they provide much enjoyment and pets are good for our well being, we are happier when we are surrounded with these creatures. I am sorry your husband suffers with a lung disease but others have given you some excellent advice on air cleaners, I would check into them to see which is best for you and your situation. I know you find conflicting information on the net but we won't steer you wrong here, we have many knowledgeable members who either have many greys or have had greys for many years and we count on them to give us good advice. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We absolutely love pictures here so if you have some of Kiki you would share with us we would be most grateful.
5. Adaya is so cute and adorable all wet and she knows how to dry off quicker, after all she is female, thanks for sharing those pics with us.
6. Josey would be hard pressed to hear any of our neighbors so she won't be learning anything from them but I can see your dilemma, at least it isn't cussing.
7. Pm received, thanks, let the celebration begin!!:cheer:
8. Funny, Josey eats corn but she had not had any on the cob since last summer, well I bought some on the cob at the grocery store the other day and gave her a slice of it and she backed away from it like she was afraid it was going to bite her, needless to say she left it alone. Later though when she was on the playstand where my sun conure usually eats her dinner she saw what was left of hers and finally went over and eat off of it and tore it up into little pieces, I bet the next time I offer her some she will accept it. :cheer:

10. Today is Thursday, the day before Friday, the start of the weekend and really the start of a vacation for me as my hubby is going out of town for a couple of weeks and I have some time to myself so mark this on your calendar for I may not be a good girl, its no fun being good, gonna try bad for a while!!  :silly:
11. He just might do that! Josey will go inside her cage if she is on the playtop and wait for me to come and close her in and cover her but if she is on another playstand then she just waits until I put her in her cage, she just kind of goes with the flow.
12. I will say a little prayer for Millie and hope she makes it.
13. That does look like fun, but I don't have an Ikea near me. {Feel-bad-0002006A}
14. Hello BZM and welcome to our family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Koko. I suspect you must have finished handfeeding her if you got her at 2 months of age, she would hardly be weaned by that time, you must have some experience. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We have many knowledgeable members who you can count on for excellent advice, some have had their greys for many years and are so willing to share what they know with the rest of us. We do love pictures here so if you can share some of Koko with us we would appreciate it.

Post edited by: judygram, at: 2009/04/24 01:28
15. I'm so sorry Sameera to hear of Zahzu's passing and I cannot imagine how you must feel but do what your heart tells you to do. You are welcome to stay but maybe take a little time to grieve and then come back and join your second family, who knows you may get another one in the future and we will be here to help you once again. Who knows why things turn out like they do but remember the happy moments of Zahzu's life and I think she would want you to get another grey for you have much love to give but follow your heart.
16. Well thank you Erika but I will try and see if I can get a messy face for ya but it will be a tough sell. Cindy I do have a few pics here but I need to take some more recent ones and no you aren't a smart@** but I am.  :cheer:
17. I look forward to seeing those pics soon, don't make us wait too long now ya hear.
18. """"I think he might be a little spoiled with all those toys in there."""" You reckon!!! Don't overwhelm him with too many at one time, just put a few in and rotate them every couple of weeks, that way he thinks he has new ones. He sure looks good in that harness.
19. According to the title for this thread the grey is eating the paper not just shredding it.
20. I sent an email to my representative to oppose this bill, how dare they try to take away my privledge to get another bird if I want one.
21. That is it in a nutshell, they have to want to say it, you can talk to them, repeat words over and over until you are blue in the face but if they don't want to say it they won't, then again you might say a particular word or phrase only once and you hear them repeat it exactly word for word. Just talk to him normally, use words in context with what you are doing and he may surprise you with a bigger vocabulary.
