Congrats Melisa, I kinda had a feeling you were going to take her, you will give her a good home I know even if she isn't perfect, she is still a bird who wants to be loved and taken care of.
I can't wait to see some pictures of her when you get the chance.
What cute pictures Lyn, that Alfie is something else, maybe I could borrow her to help me with the vacuuming, those are great pictures and thanks for sharing them with us.
I use tap water from a well, it is hard water but it is what we are used to using and I don't see any reason to use anything else.
We don't have any lead pipes in our house but it could be that older homes may have them before they knew that lead was harmful, in that case I would go with bottled water just to be on the safe side.
As far as minerals I think if they eat a varied diet they will get what they need, I don't give Josey any supplements but she may get a little more calcium from our water since it is high in limestone.
Juno is a right fine looking grey Dee, you should be very proud of him. I would let him settle in for a bit before you attempt to handle him but if he is willing then by all means do so. He will let you know if he isn't ok with it.
The next few days, weeks and months are going to be very exciting for you, getting to know him and him getting used to his new home but he should do fine and if you have any questions you know where to find us.
Have a good time with him and get more pictures when you can.
Ben is a lovely looking lady grey and she does kind of have that come hither look in the last one, thanks Bernie for sharing some pictures of your baby doll.
Ha ha, now that is funny and I would bet my life on it that it was done by a man, thanks Bernie for sharing that with us even if you didn't take the pic.
Wow I know Dee won't sleep tonight for sure knowing Juno is so close and 9 am he comes home for good to start the rest of his life together with his family.
Dee you must get pictures.
Louie is a cute little bugger, I just love my conure to bits, she is my shoulder ornament, she doesn't think she belongs anywhere else but there so she goes with me everywhere all over the house, such a little darling. Thanks for sharing a few pics of him with us.
Scooter is adorable and I see what you mean about his eye, hopefully the vet will be able to help him but in any case he has found a new forever home, I hope you two have a long life together, thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
I had not heard that either but then it doesn't surprise me as this stuff is mutating all the time, thats all we need is something else to worry about.
You dang skippy they will, I am a patient woman and it will happen, now if she still knows what to do with them now that is another thing.
Yes you are and you deserve it for having your video put on their site for everyone to see how she is playing with one of their toys, so cute, congrats to you for a job well done, you are famous.
Well her results came back that she is well within the normal range on all her tests so she is healthy just chewing on those flights on one side but I am giving her aloe vera juice baths and putting aloe gel on it twice a day. I know this will take time but I am optimistic she will eventually stop it.
The breeder should be putting this bird to itself at feeding time to observe what he is eating for it may be doing just fine with the deformity.
I have a sun conure that its sibling bit its beak and put a hole in it on the side, it has never completely grown out but she eats just fine with no problem. You really need to see this bird and watch it eat and have a vet check it out before you commit to it.
In any case if you want to take on this one with the beak problem I would for you know what may happen to it if you don't for most people would not want an imperfect bird but he needs love and attention too.
The differences are mainly how they look, a Cag has a red tail, a black beak and is usually bigger in size than a Tag. A Tag has a maroon tail, a bone color beak and is smaller than a Cag. Some say there are subtle differences in personality but they are so similar you don't notice it but maybe some of the members who have both will enlighten you with what they know.
I would take a good look around the bird food room for lots of ideas and suggestions on what to feed but here is a link to a thread that list what vegetables and fruits they can have:

They do keep us amused don't they, I think they are in cahoots with one another to see just what they can do next to amuse their parronts, keep em coming Sanggay, your two are quite the characters.
