  1. Josey says "kissy, kissy" so sweet.
  2. What adorable greys you have, love Fergie's dark eyes, they are so sweet looking at that age, thanks for sharing a picture of Wyatt and Fergie with us.
  3. It seems to me that Jen, aka Lyric has a grey that does not talk and possibly a few others but have patience Jill, Josey was one year old before she started talking, besides you will love him all the same if he doesn't talk, right. :cheer:
  4. In other words Tiggs is well booted, got cha!! {Feel-good-0002006E}
  5. How cute and what a nice spread Megan was enjoying, of course there had to be something for Alfie, can't leave her out, anything yours is hers too, thanks for sharing the pictures with us Lyn, I enjoyed them immensely.
  6. Better late than never I always say.
  7. It will take a while Adam but it can be accomplished and you are going about it in the right way. Some people don't have a clue about birds so they must be cautioned when entering the house so they don't do something to freak out your bird but most people are intimidated by a large beak. Thanks for the update on Bismark.
  8. I am so jealous, just kidding, but I wish Josey could fly like that, thats great that she is getting her wings so to speak, she is doing very well.
  9. I just love your Emma videos, she is always so entertaining to watch, thanks for sharing them with us.
  10. Howdy there R2r and welcome to our family, we are so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your flock. My you have quite a few birds, I couldn't imagine how busy they must keep you, feeding, cleaning and taking care of their every need. I only have Josey, my grey and a sun conure and they keep me hopping but they do give so much in enjoyment so you are richly rewarded. Not that you need it but we have lots of useful information in our many threads and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. Now I will ask you to give us the names of all the greys and macaws and maybe share some pictures of your flock with us, we would love to see them.
  11. I am so sorry to hear you are sick but how sweet that Darwin wants to be with her mommy but you are doing the right thing even though it hurts. I hope you get well soon so you and Darwin can be together, its obvious that she loves you very much.
  12. Great pictures Lyn, that Alfie is getting her just rewards, there is no denying her, thanks Lyn for sharing them with us.
  13. That is a great looking toy, I am going to have to go to that store some day, maybe when I get some money saved up for all the toys I will get, thanks for sharing that with us.
  14. I can see from the pictures that she has some red coloring in her wings, you can see just a hint of it, I bet they are beautiful when spread out.
  15. Nilah is lovely looking, she has very pretty feathering and so lucky to have had you find her and give her a great home. They do seem to love to just get in the plate and help themselves, thanks for sharing the pics with us Penny.
  16. I really don't know why they dunk their food in water, some do it more so than others, I think some just like to make birdie soup. Josey has taken pieces of wood she broke off one of her toys and dunk it into the water coloring the water purple or whatever color it was, I think it gives them something to do is my guess.
  17. Congrats Js on your new grey but I must caution you that each bird should have their own cage, even though they get along and play together, when it comes time to go to the cage for the night they should be separate. This will become more apparent when they get older and more independent, they like to have a cage they can call their own, their safe place. I love the name Josie, my grey is named Josey, just spelled differently, I look forward to seeing some pics when you get the chance.

  19. Well I knew you would figure a way to make it work, glad to hear it is working out for you and your fids, yes they can be a pain in the keister but it is well worth it. I bet that is a sight to see those fake birds there on your doorways but hey if it works then who cares.
  20. OMG, say it isn't so!! Just kidding Jill, congratulations on making moderator status, I know you will do a good job for you are a dedicated member here with a smart sense of humor that keeps me laughing. Keep up the great work you have already been doing and welcome to the team, you go girl.
  21. It is natural for their beak to flake, it is constantly growing and they do wipe their beak on lots of things, this helps to remove the flakes. A concrete perch, several of them at places in his cage where he is sure to use them would be useful not only for the beak but to help keep the talons filed down as they can get mighty sharp on the ends.
  22. I have one for chicken pot pie that could be easily converted to parrot pie although it wouldn't be much meat in it but those are the sacrifices you make for substitutions. PMSL:laugh:
  23. Another excellent video of Emma, the bat girl, you never disappoint us do you Adina, thanks for sharing it with us.
  24. Here we go again with man versus woman according to Dan the man, this was funny, thanks for sharing it with us, I rest my case!:woohoo:
