""""well, the parrot would like to see your ear, how about if you stick it in his cage.""""
Thats a good one Dee and my sentiments exactly.
So glad to hear that Paco is healthy and having the vet give him a kiss is priceless.
He has plenty of time to talk so be patient and it will come, thanks for updating us on Paco.
Wow what a great place to visit and as I will probably never be able to go there its wonderful that you could share some pictures of your visit there with us and Koko looks to be enjoying it too, thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
Its not called boxing day but we have those sales the day after Christmas here too and the crowds are almost as bad as black Friday with people wanting what they didn't get for Christmas and others returning things they didn't like, I will more than likely stay out of that too.
Been there and done that Dee, no way was I getting into that shopping frenzy today, I will be shopping online besides I have my two grandgirls today and believe me as soon as they leave this evening to go to their other grand parents house the liquor will be opened and consumed, gosh am I going to need it! :woohoo:

No truer words were ever spoken Dee, but let Jill have her fun, I mean what can you expect from someone who doesn't eat meat, wonder if she wears meat by products, oh well lets see how long it takes her to find my next surprise!!!
No turkey buffets Dee, what a bummer, we have places here where people can go and get a traditional Thanksgiving dinner but you all were together so thats what matters most.
She was being our funny, silly Jill and I meant every word of it and you don't need to apologize for anything Dee, it was all me.
But its all moot now as that part of the forum is broken so whats there stays for now, come on tech guys and get er done.
He is showing his affection for you but you want to discourage this as you don't want him bringing up his dinner all the time for you, try to interest him in something else when you see this behavior start.
Yes I echo the others suggestions that you give him time to settle into his new home, he has a lot of adjusting to do as everything is new to him, when he feels safer he will interact more with you. Let him dictate when he is ready for stepping up or coming out of his cage.
Good for you Dee, I have thought of that myself and for you this year with what you have to deal with it fits, the only thing that is important is that the family is together and enjoying each other's company. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
My daughter is fixing the dinner this year as she has now for several years, its nice to have someone else do the hard work, my contribution is the rolls as she hasn't quite mastered that yet. I will be spending the evening with all 3 of my grandkids today, the whole family will be together except for my hubby who is in Arizona on a hunting trip.
I don't do flu shots, has served me well so far so why push my luck.
Hope you are feeling much better now Marguerite so you can enjoy Thanksgiving with your family.
Poor Jill, you bet I will be thinking of you when I chow down this evening on turkey, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry casserole, green beans, sweet potatoes, homemade rolls and other assorted sides, I am going to wash it down with some of that good ole southern iced tea and finish it off with some pumpkin pie and coffee, gosh I can hardly wait.B)
Congrats on bringing your new grey baby home today, you are about to embark on the journey of a lifetime and it sounds like you are well prepared for it.
Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us some more about yourself so we can get to know you a little better and pictures are always welcome.
It could still be something hormanal but don't give up on him yet as this too may pass. I am glad to hear he is doing better but remember even if both of your fids don't like you as much as they do other members of the family I still love you to bits.
Ah Jill, I was only joking with you, don't take it personally, you know I love a good chance to get you good so you provided the bait and I reeled it in, you know I love you girl. B) :cheer:
We will not put ours up for a couple more weeks as we put up a real tree but Josey is a little scared to start with then she doesn't pay much attention to it.
