  1. Congrats Terry on getting your new to you grey, just follow the advice of the members here and you should do fine and some pictures would be most welcomed.
  2. As the others have already stated this will be a long process and you should expect results to be in small increments and take a lot of time and patience on your part but the reward will be great. Think in small steps and reward Ruby for any and all progress so she gets good behavior associated with getting treats. I highly suspect she may have been abused so gaining her trust may be a long way off but give her lots of time and don't push her, let her decide when she is ready for more.

    SWEATERS

Thats just about the most ridiculous thing I have heard Jamal, you can't be serious can you, but then it really doesn't surprise me about the things you say.
  4. Supernova wrote: I've no doubt you know it all Bernie but you DID post here, did you not? Dave, loved that picture, it sure gave me a laugh but I bet it was a backache for whoever did it, thanks for sharing that with us, we can all use a good laugh.
  5. Hello Bea and welcome to our family, we are so glad you could finally join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your flock. You have quite a flock and they must keep you busy but I am really glad to hear you could give this 23 year old Cag a good home, how sad he had to live like he did for so long and I bet he is really blossoming under your care. As you have already found out we have lots of useful information in our many threads so continue to read thru them and ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We really love pictures here so if you have some of your birds you would share with us we would love to see them. BTW, what are your birds names?
  6. I agree, keep offering all varieties of foods and vary how they are prepared, cooked, raw and offer them in different shapes and sizes, sometimes they will eat a certain food one way so it may take experimentation to find that out but do keep offering for sometimes they will ignore it for a while then "bam" they eat it.
  7. Oh wow Dave, that was awesome to watch, thanks for sharing that with us, absolutely fascinating to see.
  8. Josey loves dried pasta too, she enjoys breaking it up and she consumes a little of it, right now she has the wagon wheel shapes.
  9. What great pictures of Nilah, she really is enjoying herself immensely and I also love the last one, what a ham she is, thanks for sharing her with us.
  10. If its that bad Jill I will send you a care package, ASAP
  11. Happy Hatchday Darwin, you are a beautiful girl and Mommy has been very good to you too, great choice of toys for her to play with, thanks for sharing the pictures with us, she is a real cutie.
  12. Funny looking fruit, the inside resembles the center of a cucumber and the outside looks like some kind of torture thing, will have to look for it on my next visit to the grocery store.
  13. Janet, this will go on for months. Secret thread, I highly doubt that Jill, Bernie does all of his shenigans out in the open, he couldn''t keep a secret if his life depended on it, besides I would know about it by now, Bernie is bluffing.
  14. Whatever you do get your service sorted out so you can join us, heaven help us if we have to go for a day or two without your presence, you are indespensable.
  15. Bernie, where did you get that Charlie Brown tree? You can hardly tell its there. Jill, get real, why don't you show us your tree instead of the ones you shared with us, no one believes they are yours anyways. I have mine up but it is not finished yet, I will try to share a pic of it when decorated.
  16. Who cares about your 4 edits to your post, I will pm you for a solution to that, I will visit that site, in fact already have and make more visits so they can get free food, I will help all I can, thanks for sharing that with us.
  17. She looks like a real sweetie but it looks like she has already cleaned out that drawer, Happy Hatchday Rikki, you are keeping your Mom on her toes, thanks for sharing that pic with us.
  18. I think Jill has taken over this thread she supposedly started for my benefit to keep up with the goings on during the day while I am at work. I am not learning anything except that Jill has a big ego and hijacks threads for her own enjoyment.    But I gotta love ya for if I didn't you would be so sorry!
  19. Hello Spmartin and welcome to our family, we are so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Pookie. What a cute name, seems that is the name of a cat in the Garfield cartoon isn't it? When Pookie goes to jump on your head just put your hand up to deflect him away, he will soon get the message that you don't want him up there. He is asserting his independence and domination over you and you can't let him win. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We love pictures here so if you have some of Pookie you would share with us we would love to see them.
  20. Elliot, you should probably discourage the finger nibbling if it turns into biting, just don't let it get started, he thinks its fun but its not if it leads to biting. Give him some foot toys to play with, something else to nibble on besides your fingers. If he won't accept any new perches then you might have to take him in to the vet for trimmings, they have a dremmel tool that takes care of it in minutes. when you do get new perches or anything new for him, lay them where he can see them and get used to them before you put them in his cage.
  21. What a neat looking toy and Chatot is loving it, you picked a winner for sure, he is so gorgeous Pat and thanks for sharing the pics with us, keep em coming.
  22. I love roller coasters too and leave it up to Jill to ask the silliest questions, ha ha, had to get that remark in, give me an opening and I take it! If birds got motion sickness my Sunny would be longgone by now as she rides on my shoulder and I give her the ride of her life sometimes.
  23. Hello Pep and welcome to our family, we are so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Timmeh. Is your grey a Tag or a Cag? He sounds like an absolute delight to have and a very talkative one at that, some just never shut up. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We love pictures here so if you have some of Timmeh you would share with us we would love to see them.
  24. I am so glad that things are working out for you the way you want them to Charlene and please do keep in touch as much as you can for we miss hearing about Whisper and Tango and we always welcome any pictures or videos you would like to share with us. Yes things are changing with Whisper but enjoy her as she develops into a mature grey with her own mind, she sounds like a delight to have around.
  25. You have some cute dogs and they are good sports to allow to be dressed for Christmas, thanks for sharing them with us and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
