  1. I take offense to that statement, "Beer is my only friend":angry: my feelings are hurt:( {Feel-bad-0002006A}
  2. Joolesgreyuk wrote: OMG, now Julie is kicking my cats {Emotions-000200BA}
  3. I knew it was too good to be true but at least you hear it, I would fall over in the floor dead as a doornail if I heard that!:blink: :whistle:
  4. If you don't know it I will put you in it, heh heh heh! Tooting tonight for sure, thanks Jill for reminding me.
  5. Heh Heh Heh:laugh: {Feel-good-0002006E}
  6. Thats all par for the course if you own a cat, poor Tiggs:huh: :laugh: :whistle: :blush: :woohoo:
  7. Me too, I will have to go home and check Josey to see if she is hoarding pellets, nah, no way!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
  8. Oh I love that tree playstand, where did you get it if I may ask, no wonder he loves it, so natural looking. Hey they all look smaller until you get them into the house, just like Christmas trees, not so big out in the field but get it into the house and wow, didn't realize it was so big, thanks for sharing that pic with us.
  9. As you have not even had this grey for even a week it is too soon to expect him to accept you, give him some more time and don't rush him, he will come around when he feels comfortable. He feels more comfortable around or in his cage, that is his safety zone. Continue to talk to him, include him in on things going on around him, give him treats, it just takes time to gain his trust and he may surprise you and step up one day on your hand. Most avain vets will do what they have to to the bird themselves without your help so you can be the one who "saves" them from the mean old nasty person who poked and prodded them, my grey is fine as soon as we leave the office.
  10. Wonderful news Robin, it sounds like Beau is coming along nicely and Dixie is setting a fine example, keep up the good work Robin, I knew you could do it.
  11. I get a mental picture of what you just posted, they do keep us amused don't they, what did we do for laughs before we allowed a grey to come into our lives, it does make us more aware of what we do every day and never think twice about it.
  12. What precious looking babies, they are adorable, especially in the one of them napping, they each have the same stance. As the others have said spend time with each as one on one, of course they are clinging to each other right now, they are both a comfort to each other as they get used to their new home but you will see emerging personalities as they grow. I think it is fine to have the cages side by side and thanks for sharing the pictures with us and congrats on getting two, twice the fun.
  13. That was really cute Lyn, he is a good flyer and maneuvers so well between the curtains, thanks for sharing that with us.
  14. Hello Ishmael and welcome to our family, we are glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Koko. Wow that is some dog you got there but I bet he is a real pussycat when it comes to Koko and that cat too it looks like, hope they all get along. I remember your question in another thread and no there is nothing wrong with your grey, you just have a playful one so enjoy him. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. You have provided a picture of your dog and cat, how about sharing a couple of Koko as we would love to see him.
  15. Ishmael, you have a playful grey, lots of them like to lay on their back or flip over like yours is doing, enjoy it for some of us have greys who won't do this and Josey is one of them that won't. There is nothing wrong with your grey, he is being perfectly normal. Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us more about you and this grey.
  16. Oh oh, you are gonna have to put a lock on her door then if she has managed to open it up, I just bet she was having the time of her life, bad Chocko:whistle: :laugh:
  17. If these greys are pets I doubt very seriously if they will ever breed but hope springs eternal. I can just see the results of four greys after they have eaten a pomegranate, your walls must look like a bloodbath has taken place. Would you share some pictures of your flock with us?
  18. Dan is spot on, you need to consult your doctor to see what is going on, it may have nothing to do with your birds Beth and keep us informed.
  19. No one is hanging anyone here, Brittany posted a video that was not in good taste and we let her know, maybe utube is full of such crap but that doesn't mean we have to allow it here on this forum. I know cuss words are used by many people but just because it is commonplace doesn't mean it is the right thing to do. Brittany saw the error of her ways and removed the link, if anyone wants to see it go to utube and look it up but we would rather that material not be posted here as many kids view this site. Whether Brittany taught Pepper to say it is not the problem, he could have picked it up from anyone.
  20. Well it turns out that Meggie is really a boy, will you rename him or keep it? Thanks for letting us know he is progressing nicely but is on meds, sorry I can't help you with that, it might be best to wait until your vet is in again so you can ask as none of us here are vets. It is nice to hear from you again so stay in touch and maybe post a picture or two as we would love to see him.
  21. Hello Patrick and welcome to our family, we are so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your greys. Wow having four african greys must keep you very busy. You say these four are two couple, do you breed greys or are these pets? You will have to tell us some more about each one, how long you have had them, their ages and such so we can get to know them better. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We love pictures here so if you have some of your flock please share some with us.
  22. Dan, a man of many talents, didn't know you could cook, wonders never cease do they, will have to try them sometime, tell Kim I said thanks for the recipe.:laugh:
  23. Dee, that is so funny, pictures would be worth a thousand words, these men sure can soak up the sympathy can't they. :laugh: :woohoo: :laugh:
  24. It is good to hear from you again Brittany and your video is funny but I agree with Dan, it is not something we encourage our birds to do. I hope you never do have to rehome Pepper but its not a phrase you want repeated when small children are around or for heaven's sake if the preacher ever stopped by for a visit, you get my drift. Please feel free to join in discussions, post pictures and otherwise be a member of our forum but these types of videos are best left to be shared with your friends who share your off color humor.
  25. There are many websites that sell different kinds of playstands, just depends on what you are looking for, there are wooden ones, plastic, metal and so forth. I got one of mine from www.drsfostersmith.com but just put playstands for birds into google and see what you get, many, many of them.
