I don't know how you two do it, I would have to keep every baby, that would be so difficult to handle them every day, snuggling them, playing with them and loving them up and then turn around and let them go, my heart would break at each departure.
Those babies are adorable, thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
You truly have a sweetheart of a grey Stephen and I hope he continues to be that way, he certainly has you wrapped around his little talon and whatever Issac wants Issac gets.
You are making progress Jess, not a lot but some and there is hope that one day she will do it less and less, just keep up what you are doing but it sounds like she is figuring out that those cute sounds are attention getters.
Josey does some sounds that are like a chicken and she has never been around one, I think it is just some of her vocalizations, some of them are hard to explain but they are cute.
She still has plenty of time to talk and maybe when she does start talking the screaming will subside some, at least that is the plan.
Hello Jeanna and welcome to our family, we are so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and this as yet un named baby grey.
I saw your pictures before I saw this post and I must say you have one good looking grey, he is absolutely adorable.
Please do read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can.
What an adorable baby grey and wonderful pictures, he does like snuggling in a birdie tent, there is nothing better than a picture of a sleeping grey, so precious looking. Thats a great playstand too, you can also use vet wrap to give it grip, it comes in many colors and would look nice on it.
Thanks for sharing the pictures of your baby with us and I am sure a name will come to mind soon enough.
Emma is one smart grey and you have to take some of the credit for that Adina for you do spend a lot of time with her and it is due in part to how you have worked with her. I must admit that even though I spend plenty of time with Josey I do not work with her and teach her things that I should be doing.
That is a good idea to tell her where you are going because they do understand more than we give them credit for.
There is no disputing that Joey loves the camera, he is a handsome fella and knows it, I love these poses of his, you have certainly done a wonderful job with him, it was just what he needed, thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
I don't know the answer to your question Adina but maybe someone will enlighten us on how they actually are able to mimic our voices and other sounds. Josey recently learned how to bark like my daughter's dog so now I think he is in the house, guess it will get worse this weekend for he is coming to stay for a few days, oh me.
Welcome home Rene and to the start of a brand new life in your new forever home. Poor baby didn't like the travel cage but that is something you can work on in the future.
Don't feel too bad about the rocky start, he needs time to settle into his new home and feel comfortable so be patient and don't rush him.
I bet you will get some pictures soon for I can't wait to see some of him. I agree on backing off from trying to get kisses from him right now until you know him a little better.
Ah it was almost love at first sight but that is a wonderful story of how you came to have Nala, you two were meant to be together.
Maybe with some time you can clear up her dirty mouth, as she no longer hears the words she will say it less but I doubt if she ever forgets it.
Yes she is a beauty to behold.
Hello Sue and welcome to our family, so glad you could join us and glad you took my suggestion to introduce yourself so we can get to know you better.
She is probably going to love going with you when you travel, my grey goes with me when I visit my son and she plays with her toys and sits and talks on the way and of course she will be with you and that is the most important thing.
I am so glad you could give this bird a new forever home, being shuffled around 3 previous homes is hard for a bird such as a grey, they need stability but she has it now.
Do read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can.
Janet is right, thats why they call them the terrible twos but you may or may not experience any difference in your grey as I didn't see any major changes in Josey, she has been pretty much the same but some of the other members might have a different story to tell.
Thats wonderful news Jay, I've no doubt that those prayers are helping and your tender loving care hasn't hurt either. Yes he does look rough but it will take some time for that to work itself out and indeed he will, at least he is up to his old shenigans, thats our Spock, we love him dearly.
I think one week away every month would be confusing to Bear, yes I have taken one week vacations but it is only once a year, once a month is way too often and Bear being a baby makes it more crucial for every day contact.
Of course you have the final say, after all it is your bird but you asked for opinions and here is mine.
