  1. Thank God our prayers were answered and Emma is found and is home safe and sound, I hope Adina can come on later and let us know how she is but she is one happy parront right now, yippee and now if that other missing grey is found then it will be a hell of a day for two parronts.
  2. Ditto my good friend but we shall see who gets SPANKED!!
  3. When one door closes another one opens, everything is for a reason and it was meant for you and Zoeie to be together and I am so happy for you and Zoeie, I see the beginning of a beautiful relationship and can't wait to hear more about her. Congrats Lee and she is beautiful, more pics please, hint hint.
  4. If you have a pair of binoculars use them to scan the trees for him and if he is spotted then stay with him, do not let him out of your sight and have your husband call to him and try to entice him down since he is the one he prefers. I will continue to hope and pray that Charlie is spotted and brought to safety.
  5. I'm so sorry to hear that Charlie flew off but continue to look for him, in the meantime put up flyers all over the area so people will know you are missing a grey, go door to door and alert your neighbors to be on the lookout for a grey parrot. Put his cage outside with food and water in it, he may be inticed to come to it when hungry but do look and call for him until you find him. Too late but now your husband knows he has made a big mistake by taking Charlie outside without being on a harness or in a cage and for gosh sakes when you do get him back make him promise to never do that again.
  6. This is all I have to say about it! Thanks for the laugh!
  7. I love them all, haven't met one yet that I didn't!
  8. Buddy sounds like a pure delight and the apple of his mommy's eyes, what a sweetheart you have except for two weeks two times a year, thanks for sharing that story with us, Buddy love.
  9. Has there been any sightings or word of Emma, please update us?
  10. Why don't you read Penny's thread and you will see what we are talking about. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/showthread.php?190018-I-am-Angry!
  11. Me too, more to come later.
  12. I will miss Jill and her sense of humor but she left of her own accord and that was her decision, she is very outspoken but she does truly love Harvey and she made some good friends here but the forum comes first and if she feels she can't abide by the rules set by the admin then its better she move on somewhere else. I too have had several times I have felt like leaving but then I take the time to think it over and realize its childish to act impulsively and leave abruptly when later you usually regret it and we have seen this time and time again, maybe when she has time to really think about it she will change her mind but in the meantime life on the forum goes on.
  13. Hello Fredgrey and welcome to our family, I am glad that you have decided to stay on with us even if it is only to continue to read the threads but do join in on the conversations and ask questions and we will do our best to get you an answer. No one deserves to be treated as you were but things will be different now that Penny has things back on track and I will do my utmost to help you with any questions you may ask, I am so glad and grateful that you are giving us a second chance.
  14. Hello Debbie and welcome to our family, glad to have you join us and we look forward to hearing more about you, Dudley and Nani. It sounds like you have a wonderful grey and you must have some stories to tell about his antics, we all know how greys can be, and probably some of the amazon, we have an amazon room where you can share them. We also love pictures too so if you have some of your flock you would share with us that would be great.
  15. As long as they are being handfed.
  16. Hello Paul and welcome to our family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your grey. Btw, what is his name? The others have given you some good advice, please do research to see what kind of bird best fits into your lifestyle and more than likely another bird will not get along with your grey but they can still be company for each other in separate cages in the same room. We love pictures here so if you have some of your grey you would share with us we would love to see them.
  17. Aspirate means when you feed the baby formula it goes into the respiratory system instead of into the crop, death can occur, since you have been doing it you are more experienced and you should continue to do it until her's is weaned, she can still bond with hers after that. I really wish she would listen to us and do what is best for the health of her grey. Leave pellets in the cage at all time but remove the seeds before they go to bed, thats what Jay means.
  18. You are so clever and cheap and I mean that in a nice way and what a great idea to put the toys on rope before you fill the bucket with them, you are really getting the hang of having a grey around, thanks for sharing this idea with us. You have won part of the battle of introducing new toys to our greys by letting him watch you make it, makes him curious as to what you are doing so he is intrigued to investigate and viola, success.
  19. Better late than never! I agree with Dan and Jayd, it just takes time but continue to do what you are doing and one day he may surprise you, but count yourself lucky, would you rather it was reversed with only you being the one able to pet him and the other 6 expecting bites, I don't think so.
  20. You are so right and why not just leave the wings unclipped period and allow your grey full flight, there is no reason to clip the wings at all even a slight clip, one that has not been clipped ever has more confidence and besides they were born to fly and they are just more well adjusted if they do. My grey is a perfect example, she was clipped when she fledged and she has not attained a full set of flight feathers on one side due to her chewing on them and she is 4 years old, she has never flown since and she does not have the confidence I feel she would have if she had been left unclipped.
  21. A fine specimen of a boxer and a good looking dog, lucky him or should I say lucky stud, thanks for sharing the pics of Luka.
