  1. Well no one has claimed this bird even though I have tried to find the owner so I broke down and ordered a cage for it today, the one it is in right now is way too small and he/she needs more room to play but I let her out in the evenings and she flies all around but will sit for a bit on my hand, now is the hard part, to find a name for IT. I don't know whether its a boy or a girl, how would you tell in cockatiels but it will end up with some kind of name.
  2. That looks like an appropriate size for a grey and your bird will love the playtop, as far as the bar spacing that is fine too but you don't want to go any wider than 1", looks to me like you have found your new baby grey its cage.
  3. I've got my fingers crossed that she makes it thru the rest of the week and into next week and makes a full recovery, thanks Susan for the update on HotShot.
  4. Those babies are so ugly they are cute, just look at those sweet little faces, thanks for sharing them with us, now keep us posted as they grow and change, would like to see them blossom into little cockatiels.
  5. Now that would be an interesting feeling in your mouth, I have got to find these things in my area!
  6. She is messy but adorable at the same time, what a precious little baby grey, thanks for sharing the pics with us.
  7. The bird club I am a member of gives the money we raise to several organizations and The World Parrot Trust is one of them.
  8. Wow great going to get your baby home a few days earlier, she is adorable and I love the 4th pic of her holding her head above the top of the basket, she is looking out at her new home, thanks for sharing the pics with us.
  9. Kito is adorable, I love them at this age and that is one nice looking playstand, lucky Kito, thanks for sharing the videos with us.
  10. Tanya if you are going to keep him flighted yes he is going to be everywhere, glad to hear he escaped injury when landing on the stove, you might have to keep him in his cage when you are cooking and until the stove has cooled off to avoid any future mishaps. Realize he has just learned to fly and he wants to explore, his curiosity is peaked right now and he wants to see and experience it all. I think once he gets a little older he will settle down some but this is what you get with a flighted bird, I think some time in his cage during the day is a must even if you are home all day.
  11. Susan I will keep your friend and Hotshot in my thoughts and prayers, I hope she will be fine.
  12. Thanks for posting that here, I hope the owner is found for they must be beside themselves with grief.
  13. Out foxed by the foxiest of them all, poor Lyn will you ever learn!
  14. Be sure to tell Issac what you are doing as you pack up things, tell him all about it so he knows for he will understand more than you think he does, make sure he has what he needs during the trip and when you get to the new place take him all thru the apartment and show him everything telling him this is his new home and he will settle into it soon but you should have no problem for he is so young and will take to the change of abode smoothly.
  15. YIKES its Superman surrounded by a snake, he looks happy as a clam but I can't look anymore.
  16. I'm not sure but it might, I will let one of our expert members comment on it but she is adorable, that I can say for certain. Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us more about this baby grey and maybe a little about yourself.
  17. I love that video, haven't we seen it before, no matter I loved watching it again, very well done too I might add, thanks for sharing it.
  18. Hello Lori and welcome to our family, we are looking forward to hearing more about this new grey you want to get, isn't it exciting and I am excited for you. I went to a bird fair this past Saturday and spent hundreds of dollars on bird toys and such, they add up quickly but if you look around the toys and playstands room you will find lots of ideas and suggestions for making your own toys and where you can look for cheaper ones. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can.
  19. Decisions, decisions, its hard to pick, maybe one of them is more receptive to you, sometimes thats a good way to choose when you have more than one to pick from. I would leave the handfeeding to the ones who know best how and not take your baby home until it is fully weaned. They all beak everything including fingers but when they do that just put them down for a bit then go back but they are just exploring right now, later you can let him know that hard pressure is not welcome.
  20. Emma wasn't on the loose but a couple of days but it was long enough to learn some tricks, I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when you realized she was out of her cage, priceless!
  21. Yes he is gaining and that is important right now, gosh I am excited to find out whether Loki is a he or a she, guess it doesn't matter to you but you just like to know, I am going to say Loki is a female.
  22. He is adorable and he is after the camera, hey I want that thing you have in your hand, must be something I can play with, thanks for sharing that with us Kevin.
  23. That Charlie has rhythm, the beat, what a cute fella he is bobbing his head to the beat, thanks for sharing that with us Shelia.
  24. That picture of that snake makes my skin crawl, no snakes in my house but to each their own.
  25. Congrats to Cosmo on his first flight, it might have been short but practice makes perfect, can't wait to see some pics.
