Well count yourself lucky if you get a sun conure for I think they are adorable little birds, I have one and would never rehome her and she can get noisy at times but she is part of my family now and will remain for the rest of her days. Suns do get a lot of bad rap as being screamers and very loud but heck any bird can be loud and compared to cockatoos and macaws they are very quiet, sometimes I never know she is even in the house except I feel her talons in my shoulder.

I have never used those products you mentioned but maybe some of the other members will comment on them whether they have used them or know of anyone who had good results using them. Thank you Dan, I plan on having the time of my life, I just wish that next week would go real slow so we can really cherish the time we have together for I have no qualms about meeting her, someone who I have never seen in flesh and blood but we share a common bond and other things too. If all things work out she and her family will be over here to visit me next year or so, another treat for me, heck who knows we might just trade back and forth.

What an amazing story Sanggay and it just goes to show the relationship you have with Cocoa, she is so much a part of your life that you two are in unison, in harmony with each other, it warms my heart to hear of your adventures with her and both your lives are so blessed with each other.

Hello Karen and welcome to our family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you, Gabby and your new little Tag. So glad you found us and there is alway someone here to answer any questions you may have so ask away and do read thru the many threads for lots of useful information on all aspects of grey ownership but with your experience I doubt you need it but you may have some stories to tell us of Gabby's adventures so do indulge us when you get the chance. We love pictures here so if you have some of your greys you would share with us we would love to see them.

Excellent post Dan and I echo your comments as I would do the same but Jamal has shown in the past that he is one minded when it comes to his greys and to allow them to do as they please whenever they please is irresponsible on his part as being a parront. I can only imagine what his reaction would be if someone took offense to an attack by one of his greys and they retaliated with physical violence to his bird, surely he would then blame the other person like so many do, its no wonder that a few bad apples spoil the whole bushel.

I leave this coming Tuesday for bloody ole England to meet Julie and I can hardly contain myself, I have a 3 day weekend then its off I go, won't be back to work for nearly two weeks, I am taking several cameras with me to get lots of pictures so don't be surprised if the site is inundated with pics when I return. I may post a few while over there but Julie and I plan on being so busy we won't have time to get on the forum so cross your fingers that all goes well and we have a blast.

I do hope your friend will be able to visit the shop today as we all want to know what this yellow bird is as you have peaked our curiousity, we just have to know.

I think you will manage it, like the others said it not so much the quantity but the quality time you spend as a lot of us work full time and our fids are by themselves for a good part of the day and school will not last forever, Archie will adjust if you provide him with lots of toys and foraging opportunities to occupy his time when alone, also leave the tv or a radio on to keep him company.
