Ignoring it is just about the only way to stop it, when you give any kind of reaction to the noise it only reinforces the behavior, they continue with it because they like the response you give, put ear plugs in and go about your business and it will solve itself.

I have to agree on the "inhale" part as Josey will not drop a crumb when eating a piece of cheddar and neither does Sunny and forget about sneaking it out of the fridge for they know what it looks like and how the packaging sounds.

She is still young so expect her to be somewhat unbalanced but the only way she can learn is to keep trying and believe me she will get better. It is so much better for them to remain flighted, especially when so young because it builds confidence and gets the muscles required for flight prepared to take on that task. Give her more time to become settled into her new home, you only just brought her home and grey time moves slow so be patient as she develops into a blossoming flower, an expert flyer.

Greycie is the master of her domain and knows it, what a cutie.

Only bird people like us understand how we can love these unique creatures, they are definitely not for everyone but I feel in good company here on the forum, we is good people.

Jeff is right about some greys do not like to be touched, my grey will allow my hubby to scratch her neck and practically touch her all over except her feet, she doesn't allow me quite that much leeway but I have a good relationship with her and respect that she prefers him to do the body touching. Things can change for my grey used to not want to have much to do with my hubby and then suddenly one day she is ga ga over him and will occasionally try to regurge for him so your situation could change.

I have seen all those faces and many others.

When I go on my cruise later this month Josey will be in heaven as she will be tended to by my hubby who she loves more than me, he can do almost anything with her, no I am not jealous for she just loves me a little differently.

I used to have an inside cat when I first had my birds but she has since passed away, she was old and didn't have much interest in them, now I don't have any other pets but sometime in the future I may get another cat, for now I am content with my 3 fids.

Happy Hatchday Talon, wow 10 years old, she is approximately 8 months older than Josey who will turn 10 next May, I have every idea that Talon is spoiled rotten each and every day of her life.
