  1. Its never easy to lose one of our beloved companions but you have been dealt a double whammy with the loss of Marden and now Peck but know you did all you could, no one could have asked for any more from you and those two greys were so blessed to have you in their lives even for so short a time as it was.
  2. Cocoa is sorely missed by many Sanggay, she was special to us all who watched her flower into a beautiful lady who loved the playground and her flight trips to the waterfalls with family and friends, I remember the dog who came along for the company, she lives on in our hearts and I am so glad you found some of her videos.

    How many???

Three is the magic number here too but my limit and I know it: 1 sun conure - Sunny 1 Cag - Josey 1 cockatiel - Gypsy
  4. I have listened to all my bird's heartbeats, it amazes me how fast they are, of course I love smelling my birds too, is that weird?
  5. Greycie is the queen of patience, loved it.
  6. Dee has a wonderful way with words, she can express exactly what the rest of us are thinking, many thanks to a woman with one of the biggest hearts.
  7. Echo is an inquisitive and very beautiful Tag, thanks for sharing some pictures with us.
  8. I also give human grade roasted unsalted peanuts to my grey though I do throw out the peanuts that come in seed mixes as those are usually raw, the outside birds enjoy them.
  9. Happy Belated Hatchday Alfie, hope you were spoiled rotten.
  10. Happy Belated Hatchday Bailey, hope you were royally spoiled rotten.
  11. Hello Skyemperess and welcome to our family. Thanks so much for giving this grey a new forever home and he/she will flourish under your care because you know what you are doing. Pellets can be part of their diet but not all, a good seed mix is a staple of their diet and fresh vegetables with just a little fruit from time to time, the bird food room will have lots of threads on what can be fed and what is toxic so give that room a good looking over for lots of ideas. Its a good idea to have that wellness check to make sure your bird is healthy and doesn't have any medical issues. I can't wait to hear more about your bird and maybe a picture or two.
  12. Happy Belated Hatchday Nilah, you gorgeous girl.
  13. Just think of it this way, you have had some remodeling done, they say you are welcome.
  14. At least she has good taste, cheesy.
  15. I think Marguerite was asking if one side of her cage is up against a wall. All of my bird's cages are against a wall as it gives them a little security knowing they only have to watch out for the other 3 sides. You would be surprised sometimes at how something so simple can be so important to a bird. I have to agree with Dave on the subject of listing medications used on your bird, only a vet can prescribe those and none of us are vets.
  16. A portion of the cost of the Parrot Lover's Cruise goes to the World Parrot Trust and I am going again this year.
  17. That stand looks better than some I have seen with big price tags, what a lucky girl she is going to be.
  18. Hello Tommie and Kris and welcome to our family. You have a beautiful baby grey, love those dark eyes and I bet you are excited for that big day to come. Onyeka is an unusual name, does it have any special meaning?
  19. Hello Ladydove and welcome to our family. A grey's trust has to be earned so it will take time to introduce new things as they view them as something out to get them, always in predator mode but you can try again at a later time.
  20. Wilber is looking great, especially showing off that red tail of his, thanks for the update and keep em coming.
  21. Then all's well that ends well, glad to hear it.
  22. My birds all sleep in their day cages, I do have travel cages I use to transport them to the vets, for visits outside the home and such.
