I think Sterling feels the same as I do that 2 months is too young to be brought home by someone with no handfeeding experience. I think I speak as most here would especially our grey expert, Dave007, that handfeeding is best left to those who know how to do it, so much can go wrong and personally I wish it were a law that the bird had to be fully weaned before it could be sold but that's all water over the dam now.
We are very passionate here about our greys and that can be interpreted as judgemental at times but we all want the same thing, to care for our beloved companions and give them the best we can give for they deserve it.
We ARE here to help you in any way we can and it does seem you are getting advice from the store on handfeeding, hopefully Dave will be along soon to add to the advice. I have to agree with Charlies Dad that the feathers can seem purplish when wet but they all are different just as they all are individuals.
