There are lots of differences but the main ones are that Cags are somewhat bigger with bright red tail and black beak, Tags are smaller with maroon tail and horn colored beak, there may be some personality differences also.
This is unusual and in my opinion if he is not eating or drinking he will get sick and quickly, at least phone the vet and ask about him, I would be concerned and let us know what you find out.
I do hope you will leave your birds flighted, as Dave said they were given wings for a reason and all 3 of mine are flighted, one flies a lot when she is out and the other two do so occasionally but I love hearing the flap of wings in the house.
I love hummingbirds and always feed them every year, they are getting ready to leave for the far south for the winter to return the following April, in fact I love them so much I have a tattoo of one on my leg, thanks Jill for sharing the article.
I always love hearing Dayo do his Dan imitations, he does sound exactly like you and I have no doubt he knew what to say when Kim accomplished something on her own, btw give her my regards for a speedy recovery.

I used to take Josey on weekend trips when my son lived out of state but now that he has moved back to the area she hardly ever goes anywhere but I have taken her to work with me before, she travels well and plays inside her cage and chats, I haven't taken her with me to work in a while but when I get back to working a regular 8 hour day I will.
I share good company then because I love to smell my birds, each one has their own distinct smell and I love them all, nothing like sinking your nose into their feathers and taking a big whiff.
I have covered my fids from day one as their cages are in the family room, the only time they are left uncovered is when we happen to be out late, we don't want to disturb them just to cover them.
