Hello Ray and welcome to our family.
You have an adorable baby grey there in those pictures, I just love those dark eyes they have. Its good you are taking her on outings to get some socialization and get used to being in a travel cage, they benefit from joining us on excursions away from the home so good luck on this Saturday's trip.
Changing jobs changes the dynamics of the daily routine so expect some time for Escher to adjust to them, I'd say that explains the lack of talking on his part.
If it weren't for the iron leaching out it would be perfect, heavy and with a perch, maybe one could be found that is coated, think I have seen some that were.
Now just where did she hear such language with that last utterance but you have to give it to her for being so smart or maybe more of a smartass, would have loved to have been a fly on the wall, thanks for sharing.
Sorry about your finger but yes they notice everything, like I cannot put on nail polish other than a clear coat because my grey will freak out when she sees it, just keep it away from her if possible and she will be less afraid of it as time goes by. She does look good sitting there on your shoulder even if she is plucked with a collar on.
I am hoping rising temperatures this week will usher in the warmer weather, yesterday it rained but it was mild and then this morning it was cold again with snow showers, I think everyone is looking forward to spring, the calendar might say its spring but we beg to differ.
Hello Shane and welcome to our family.
The others have already given you some excellent advice and I know she will be so glad to have that collar removed.
I think Marden would be so pleased with what you are undertaking in building a rescue for birds, what a fitting tribute to his much too short life. I am glad that Matt could give you some help on starting this endeavor of yours and I have been to Project Perry myself though its been several years now and I need to go back for another visit since they have added a conure aviary similar to the one for the greys. I look forward to hearing and seeing more about this project of yours.
Hello Max and welcome to our family.
Congrats on your new addition to the family and I look forward to seeing some pictures of GG when you get some to share with us.
Hello Danie and welcome to our family.
Everyone has given good advice so just take it slow and easy as he settles into his new home, be very patient with him and remember grey time is slow, very slow for it takes time to build trust with him.
Hello Tracy and welcome to our family.
So glad you have Deter back in your life and I hope it all goes smoothly as he adjust to being with you and your fiance again. I know what you mean about the sun conure only liking your fiancé, my sun only likes me for the most part, she will tolerate my hubby but won't come out of the cage for him.
I look forward to seeing some pictures of Deter when you get the chance to share some with us.
