Talon

Well, I guess Talon is just a little strange in the food dept. She MUST have what we are eating, and if we don't go get her at lunch or dinner time, she will come flying out to the kitchen and land on your shoulder or hand so she doesn't miss out! Caspersmum, She does the same thing with the glass when she is done drinking, pushing it away like that. We are lucky, she will say "Thirsty Bird" when she is thirsty.

Does anyone's Bird do this when he or she is with you and wants your food..................Talon will give one quick shake of her head when she wants what you are eating, especially at meal time. Sometimes she adds a short little whistle at the same time. If you don't share with her, she'll do it over and over again until you feed her some of what you're eating. Does anyone else's grey do that???? :blink: :blink:

Rox, I find that greys have a lot of the same personality & emotional issues that a horse does. We have always had horses, and they need to be treated with all the care and compassion as a grey. We don't believe in hitting our horses like some owners and trainers do. For example, I have found that if you hit a horse when they bite at you, it just encourages the behavior, greys exhibit the same behavior. There are a lot of similarities in them. I don't find that greys are high strung at all. But certainly do your research on them. They are a life long commitment. And you will absolutely love them!!

Judy, If you go into your photobucket, you'll see where your pictures are. Underneath every picture, are about 3 little boxes with codes in them. They have things next to them like IMG Code, HTML Tag, and URL link. To post the picture on here, you need to click in the box that has IMG code. It should automatically copy it, so then you can past it in your post. And from what you did above, it looks like you got the IMG part right. It needs to look like You need to have that slash before the IMG at the end. Hope that makes sense! Melissa

I alternate between cartoons, nick jr. and the bird sitter dvd. Always the television though .

I have it. I don't use it every time I leave the house and put Talon in her cage. But I put it on for her maybe once or twice a week. She loves it!! It keeps her entertained, as she is the only bird we have. I would definitely recommend it!

Miltie, I'm so happy for you. You've no doubt made the best decision. There was a reason you lost your little guy. You were meant to have this very special bird.
