It's the constant hard rubbing of the excess ink that I found most annoying! It made it sore after a while. Bee Stings......I didn't notice that. I guess we all have different experiences and pain tolerance. :pinch:
Our grey doesn't have one either. I don't think it's that big of a deal. Some have it depending on where you purchased them from. The bands usually have the hatch date on them I believe. Other members here, will have better information.
Good luck to you Rox. I hope you get that Grey real soon.
Thoroughbreds do have a higher tendency to be high strung, especially if they had been raced in their younger years. We have a 5 year old that we bought off the track, and he can be a little nutty.
Keep us posted on your purchase of your grey.
She's always on my shoulder. She usually behaves very nicely, but she was getting tired, and I was ignoring her. It's really my own fault for not paying attention to her.
Judy, I have a rose on the top of my foot. I flowered bracelet on my wrist. A butterfly, flowered design, a pegasus ( I know, that one I know longer like) a flower with a butterfly, a small bluebird, and a small kitten.
Congratulations Judy who has made 700 posts in under 2 months!! {Communicate-000200D5}
I had one that was attached to the wall that hung close to the cage. It was well protected with plastic (I thought) over the wires. Talon would climb onto the light and chewed right thru the plastic and even cut some wires with her beak. I'm very surprised nothing happened to her. Needless to say, I threw the light away and bought a different one.
Cd is correct about the full spectrum light. We have one for Talon's play cage, and she prefers to go there only when the light is on. She really seems to enjoy preening herself under it.
Talon has one of those except it's white. Do you think they could play a duet one day??? {Nature-000200C9}
Oh and by the way CD, I got mine at a tag sale for $3.

Talon could still fly after she was clipped. She would land on the floor because she couldn't get any height. But that was too dangerous because we have 2 cats that would eat her up in one bite! :evil: sO we let her wings grow out, so she would always land high enough up to stay safe.
