  1. Welcome Welcome Welcome!! Your story is so great!! I am so happy that you won't relinquish your puppies!! I lost a TIEL to a terrier I was puppy sitting years ago. So understand that problem. Mixing them can be done, but it takes a lot of work and always having your mind on what it should be on. You will get your Grey when the time is right for everyone. I look forward to getting to know you in the meantime.
  2. My TAG doesn't pluck, but he does hack. By this I mean he will chew the edges of his feathers. I know there is a name for this, but I can't remember it. You don't see it much until the feather falls out and it is all tore up at the edge. I am trying more sleep and baths. This is very recent so can't tell if it is working or note yet.
  3. I agree, accidents happen!! You are human and as such make mistakes. Please don't dwell on the mistake. Dwell on the happy times and remember that Jasper knew he was loved. I know this is not easy, especially right now. Prayers for you and FLY FREE JASPER!!
  4. Happy Hatchday Ana Grey!! and many more!!
  5. Yes I believe he is still hungry. At 2 months 45 ml at a feeding does not seem like enough. Can you get some proper feeding equipment? You should be making sure the formula is warm, but not hot. Stir it a lot to make sure there are no hot spots. Feed until the baby wants no more. He will let you know. Hopefully, someone with more experience will come along soon. Are you offering food other than formula? Have you taken this little guy to the vet?? If not, please try to do so asap.
  6. Such a cutie!! I have found Peanut likes to sit on my hand under the shower. Took a few years to find this out! LOL
  7. Happy day after your hatchday Gracie!!
  8. It is so funny because it is so true. Both mine can be velcro birds when they want to be.
  9. Oliver is very lucky to have you for his family!! That was so cute. I agree you need something like that child's bike with a Mommy handle on it.
  10. Even though onion is on top of the good list, I have always heard it is not good for parrots. The same with avocado and mushrooms. Any trouble with any of these??
  11. That was so cute. She does like it. Can I ask, is that a christening dress in the back ground. It is lovely.
  12. I think the chest area is just from molting/preening. The sound: she is asking for your fingers to feed her, that is sure. Did she just take a drink? Thought I saw some water dripping from her beak. She was rubbing like she had gotten some water in her nose.
  13. Its eyes are a bit on the wild side!! I think I would want it, but would then hide it when I got home! LOL
  14. Greys and never don't mix!!! I love it! Thanks everyone.
  15. Thanks. Jeff, Peanut is 8 years old. I have had him since he was about 2 months old. This is the first time he has tried anything other than beeps, honks.clicks and squawks. I have always repeated them to him too - well as close as I could get. Yes, Nancy, we do communicate without the words and I love that too. I am working on 'love you' to be next!
  16. I have said on more than one occasion that my TAG, Peanut, will never talk due to his malformed mucous membranes. Well,,never say never LOL! He has started to say HaeWhoa. I take this to be Hello, He will only say it when he is behind me. He will say it and wait for me to repeat it and this will go on for a few minutes until one of us gets tired and stops - usually him. I wanted to tell you because while my friends here will listen to me they really don't understand!!
  17. Welcome! So glad Cheyenne picked you. I loved reading all about your flock and am looking forward to a lot more stories. With a full house like you have there has to be many many more to come LOL.
  18. You're right, Timbersmom. Fid is short for Feathered Kid.
  19. Awww cute baby pics !!! He is growing up.
  20. I am so sorry!! Prayers coming for you and Kiki. Keep looking and calling, praying she hears you and responds.
  21. I can't help you with which ones are important. They cost is about what it cost for them at my vets. Although mine doesn't charge a collection fee. I would be interested in the results when you have them done. I had a slight disagreement with my vet about the infections he kept saying my two had. So would like to hear about others who have those tests done.
  22. I love the picture. Nothing cuter than a cuddle bug Grey. I will be watching for updates on the beak. Good luck.
  23. Nice pic. My Sun likes the sink, my Grey the shower in the tub. But they both prefer that I hold them during the shower, thank you! LOL
